Knowing your Saddle isn't working for your Horse but not knowing what to do about it is no fun🙃😩

But I get it, going through the process of trying to find a Saddle that actually Fits can be exhausting!

Some many to try..little consistency in measurements between makers..hours spent messaging, scrolling and trying something on just to try again🤪🤪

Trying to convince a stranger to give you their Saddle to try without buying it...or just breaking down and buying Saddles hoping they'll fit only to get them home and find out they don't.

Being afraid to end up with 3 Saddles that don't fit in your Tackroom and no budget left to buy anything else until something sells🫠

After watching so many Riders struggle through this process I got thinking..what if we could make this FUN?? What if we could make it simple, dare I say easy?

To find a beautiful saddle that you actually like to ride in that your Horse loves too?

Having enough room through the shoulder IS a critical part of their body that needs to have some room to move (the Scapula typically moves back and forth several inches when your Horse moves) but the tricky part about this is that it could still be...

👉 Causing Spine Pressure(this one often leads to boney changes)

👉 Hitting a reflex point the causes them to raise their head, especially when the Rider gets on

👉 Or just plain loading pressure in the lumbar(low back area) causing tissue damage and oftentimes difficulty keeping their back end under them and driving.

So having room to get your Hand through the front of the Saddle is ABSOLUTELY a good thing BUT we just need to make sure that it’s not loading incorrectly in another place in order to make it happen!

Most riders want their horse to be in a saddle that fits.

And the reason that their horse is in something that doesn’t is not because they don’t want to find a solution.

It’s because trying to find something can feel slightly overwhelming at times.

Reaching out to strangers on the Internet(hoping they are who they say they are) then convincing them to let you try their Saddle.. isn’t always easy.
-

Some will want you to put down a deposit, others will ask you to pay in full in order to try it.
-

Then it’s the messaging back and forth to try and find a time to meet up or pay for shipping…

Sometimes in desperation it can feel like just buying the Saddle from pictures and just hoping that it fits is your best option🤞🤞

Unfortunately, this rarely works. So you end up with a bunch of saddles that don’t work for your horse(s) and now have to add the step of selling something before you continue the hunt😩

Repeat this cycle multiple times over 4-6 months and finding a saddle that really works for your horse starts to sound like something that’s never REALLY going to happen…

All the while your horse is building up scar tissue and compensation patterns in their body that will end up taking another 6 to 12mo to get back with consistent bodywork…😳😳
