It’s World Glaucoma Week👁️👁️

Glaucoma is a common eye condition that affects the optic nerve, which plays an important role in healthy vision. Many people don’t notice symptoms in the early stages, which is why regular comprehensive eye exams are so important.

The good news is that when glaucoma is detected early, there are effective ways to manage it and help protect your vision. One of the ways we can detect glaucoma is with this instrument called a Visual Field Analyzer, which maps out your peripheral vision.

World Glaucoma Week is a great reminder to stay on top of your eye health and book your routine eye exam if you’re due.

As the New Year hits the ground running, so did our team at Summit Eye Care Centre. We want to say a big warm welcome to Dr. Sitler, Jordan, and Chelsea from Kamloops Vision Therapy‼️ they joined us on January 5th and we could not be happier.
