Active Care feels honoured to work in an industry that is built on the foundation of caring for others.

Embedded in our Mission Statement, we share that we are a trauma informed organization made up of compassionate, talented people who provide innovative person-centered supports and services. Through our work, we are so fortunate to contribute alongside individuals who show up meaningfully and selflessly every day.

We are proud to celebrate everyone in this industry, and thank you all sincerely.

Today is World Social Work Day, and it also takes place during National Social Work Month - a time to recognize and celebrate the social work profession.

Across Canada, social workers show up every day to support individuals, families, and communities. They walk alongside people through some of the most difficult moments in their lives, advocate for access to resources and rights, and work to address the systemic barriers that affect health, safety, and wellbeing.

Social work is rooted in care, dignity, and a deep commitment to social justice. The profession plays an essential role in strengthening communities and creating pathways toward equity and inclusion.

The Canadian Association of Social Workers celebrates social workers across the country and the impact they make in the lives of people and communities every day.

Today, and throughout National Social Work Month, we honour the dedication, compassion, and leadership of social workers.

Employer Spotlight Series!🔆

In this series, we are spotlighting our Living Wage Employers, the work that they do, and how paying a living wage is making a difference in their organization.

“By reducing financial stress, offering generous benefits, a pension plan, extensive training, growth opportunities, and fostering a supportive environment, we’ve seen stronger retention and a more engaged team—because when our people feel valued, they can make an even greater impact." Amanda Arkesteyn, HR Director, Active Care Youth & Adult Services

At Active Care Youth & Adult Services, we provide trauma-informed, person-centred care to youth and adults. Our work is rooted in compassion, education, and respect.
