We are open today, but closed the rest of this week. We return on December 30th, closed December 31st and January 1st and back to regular hours on the 2nd.

We are so fortunate to have access to real time ultrasound for imaging the abdominal wall, bladder and re**us diastasis (abdominal separation).

This technology allows us to make sure that we are giving you the exercises that you need, but none of the exercises that you don't need! Combined with internal assessment when required, the insight gleaned from the ultrasound assessment helps you to be confident that you are doing the exercises you are prescribed properly.

We are so grateful and pleased to have Ashley Kulchyski on our team!

She is the most recent addition to our team, but she is an experienced physiotherapist. Before coming back from her most recent maternity leave, she worked in orthopedic physiotherapy at the Lifemark clinic in Valleyview. She has advanced training in orthopedics and acupuncture that she utilized at Lifemark with her patients.

She was always interested in pelvic health, but her interest deepened after having her two children, so she has undertaken additional training to develop her pelvic health expertise and is qualified to help patients with both internal and external issues.

Ashley is taking new patients with orthopedic (nerve, muscle, bone, or joint) and pelvic health related (prolapse, incontinence, pre/postnatal and pelvic pain) problems. You can call us to make an appointment at 250-372-1529, or you can book online!

Meet Elyse!

Elyse focuses on empowering her patients through education and exercise, often supplemented with manual therapy and dry needling techniques. Elyse is keen on continuing her education and has taken several courses in pelvic health rehab and orthopedics in the last few years.

Passionate about forming a positive therapeutic relationship and empowering her clients to take an active role in their recovery, Elyse believes that an integral part of the client-therapist relationship is communication. She understands that by taking the time to listen, she can better understand the problems and needs of her clients. Elyse is also passionate about providing trauma informed physiotherapy care and creating a safe healing space for her clients.

Since relocating to Kamloops, Elyse can be found enjoying the outdoor recreation opportunities that abound here. She is especially active in mountain biking and skiing. As a two-time national champion in mountain bike marathon and an active competitor in enduro racing, Elyse is very familiar with the demands of high-level athletic training.

Many men and women have experienced health challenges that impact the pelvic girdle area.

Often times treatment is delayed due to delay in diagnosis. Patients may live with pelvic conditions for years before telling their doctors or health care providers that they are having a problem. When they do seek help, sometimes their provider is unfamiliar with the problem or doesn't have the expertise to suggest appropriate treatments.

The good news is that although conditions impacting this part of the body are sometimes difficult to talk about and to diagnose, they are often possible to treat successfully, or at least manage well. At Engage Health, we have created a private and respectful environment for you to get help for your problem. We will teach you strategies to manage your problem better and get back to enjoying your life!
