Who loves to do polework exercises with their horses? English and western horses can benefit from the use of poles in their training routine! Below I've listed a great article on the basic reason for polework, it's especially great for horses who need a little help with spacial awareness. I can't wait until the snow melts and I can show you all some of my favorite exercises and what they help strengthen.

The first tea I want to talk about is this ginger turmeric tea. This also contains cinnamon so it's extra warming!
All three of these spices are great for the digestive system, and as you may know the stomach is one of the horses most important organs! Ginger also aids in circulation, cinnamon is great for balancing the insulin response, and turmeric is a great addition for joint health and skin irritation.

*As always before feeding something new to your horse, research the ingredients and consult with a veterinarian if you have any questions beyond your own research comfortability.*

With the colder weather I know I love to sit with a warm cup of tea while I work. Tea is also a great way to get your horses extra hydration and herbal benefits! I just went through my tea cabinet, which was getting to be very full I might add! And found some teas that contain all horse safe ingredients. Each one has a different benefit and over the next few days I'll go over each one.

Have you ever given your horse tea?

I need to interview and assess owners and horses from 3 different disciplines that I am not familiar with for a school project. I would love to speak with someone in the barrel/roping or any western disciplines, wagon/pulling horses, racing, dressage, etc. If you'd be willing to have me come out for a free treatment and have me chat your ear off shoot me a message!!

**edit**
I have a team penning and barrel racer lined up but still looking for one more discipline to offer this deal to!

Hello everyone, I’m Nicole, the person behind Holistic Harmony Equine Therapy! I am super excited to start this business and get to meet new people and their horses, mostly the horses though lets be real. All jokes aside,I thought it’d be a good time to write out a quick post about myself and how I found myself in the equine therapy industry. I am currently taking a two year equine sports therapy program with Natural Touch Therapy Institute and am just about ready to start building my clientele.

I could write multiple paragraphs if I let myself, but to try to keep this short(ish) I’ll give you a little look into who I am. I have always loved horses, and grew up around other livestock(goats, cows, sheep) in 4-H and miniatures at my grandparents farm.

I didnt start riding consistenly until I was 19 and living on my own. 5 Years later and I own 2 horses, work for a local training barn in the summer months, and am stepping into the idustry myself. My husband and I own an acreage south of Veregin SK and I will be traveling the kamsack/canora/yorkton area for treatments. We have an (almost) 9month old daughter as well as working at the local ski hill in the winter, we like to stay busy!! In the summer I spend every moment I can working with the horses, in the garden, or spending time with my family.

After working as a hairstylist for the past 6 years I decided to pursue my love for horses on a professional level. Starting December 1st I will be offereing my services publicly, up until now I’ve been working hard and getting in lots of practice. You can find my rates and services on my page in a pinned post, I will update that post as I progress in my program. If you’ve made it this far, congratulations! Feel free to send me any and all questions you have, or to book a session. I Am so excited to get started into this journey.
