The family of the late Margaret and Andrew Kuzma of Canora announces the burial in the spring of 2021 in the Tolstoi Cemetery.
Dad was born November 13, 1939 on a farm north of Veregin, Sk to Mabel and Andrew Kuzma. Dad retired from farming in 1995. When our childhood house burned down in 1997, Mom and Dad moved to Canora. Dad worked for the Norquay Alfalfa Plant for a couple of years and ended his career at the Canora CPP plant. Dad could strike up a conversation with anyone and he would help anyone that needed it. Mom had told me that she could not lock the door as someone might be a damsel in distress and need a place to stay.
Mom was born May 27, 1942 in Canora, Sk to Mary and Peter Shkuratoff. Mom worked for E-lite Oil in Calgary, while living with her sister. After working there for awhile, she moved too BC to live with her Aunt and Uncle, but before she was to start her new job, homesickness set in and she moved back home to which she met Dad and the rest is history. While being Dad`s right hand man on the farm, she also worked for Home Care for a couple of years to which she she quit to help Dad full time and raise us. Mom was described as having open arms, loving and the most sweet and loving person. Whether we were going somewhere or back, she always gave us a hug.
After Dad`s passing in 2019, Mom continued to live in Canora until September 2020, when she moved closer to her daughter and family in Kamsack, Sk until her passing.
Dad is predeceased by his Parents, Mabel and Andrew, Brother Willie, Sisters, Sara, Lovey, and a sister in birth. Brother-in-laws Bill and Harry.
Survived by Three Sisters, Vera, Hope (Frank), and Olga.
Mom is predeceased by her Parents, Mary and Peter, Brother-in-law, Don.
Survived by one Sister, Pauline. Mom and Dad will be missed their Daughter, Michelle (Craig), Son, Sean (Stacey), their four Grandchildren, Cassidy, Chole, Lauren, and Drew and extended family and friends.
Mom and Dad are dancing up a storm in heaven.
