Wednesday = Life Skills Day 🧀🍽️

Today’s focus was mac and cheese — a big hit with our teen boys!

Our cooking sessions focus on functional methods, using clear, simple instructions that support skill generalization. Each step is practiced with the goal of carrying these cooking skills into future daily living.

We are building real-world kitchen skills that will support independence in adulthood — one recipe at a time. 🍽️✨

Some mornings bring surprises 💛

This cutie shows up most days with a different item in hand. The last few days it was a balloon 🎈Today it was a pineapple! Who knew it would turn into a learning opportunity

life-skills and social-skills activity: learning safe kitchen habits, practicing cutting with our Montessori utensils, and sharing a sweet treat with friends.

Learning happens in the most unexpected (and delicious) ways! 🍍✨

Such a warm welcome from the Pembroke community at our ribbon cutting ceremony! A heartfelt thank you to Mayor Ron Gervais R, MP Cheryl Gallant, and MPP Billy Denault for joining us and showing your support. Thank you as well to the The City of Pembroke and everyone who attended, shared our opening, and offered such kind encouragement. We are also grateful to Astrid’s Flowers for the beautiful bouquet, and to community partners including Bethea Summers (Pembroke BIA), Heather Sutherland (Economic Development), and Kathleen Barr (Investment Attraction) for the thoughtful gift.
