New Research Announcement | VRapeutic ร Zewail City of Science and Technology (Egypt)
We are proud to announce the launch of a new research study in collaboration with Zewail City of Science and Technology and the Multimedia Interaction and Communication Lab AAST and WeBios Lab-AAST, focusing on passive stress detection in virtual reality using computer vision.
The study investigates a novel, non-intrusive approach to stress evaluationโmoving beyond wearable sensors such as EEG or skin conductance, and instead analyzing navigation behavior, posture, and micro-movements within carefully engineered VR environments. Our goal is to enable affordable, scalable, and accessible stress assessment for applications in mental health, education, training, and rehabilitation.
This work builds on VRapeuticโs mission to translate cutting-edge immersive technologies into evidence-based, real-world impact, particularly in contexts where cost, comfort, and scalability matter.
We have already published a protocol on OSF:

๐ Call for Collaboration
We are actively seeking international research groups, universities, and clinical partners interested in joining a multi-center study aligned with this vision. Together, we aim to validate this approach across diverse populations, age groups, and use cases.
If your team is working at the intersection of VR, computer vision, behavioral analytics, or mental health, we would love to connect. Please send an email to: success.partners@myvrapeutic.com
