VRapeutic is a UNICEF Innovation Fund portfolio software house, specializing in the development of rehabilitation and therapeutic solutions, with a focus on developmental and learning special abilities including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, in addition to others. Taking a scientific research-based approach, our product lines involve:
1) Innovative virtual reality-based curricula specially designed to instill essential life skills in children under four categories which are social, cognitive, motor, and academic skills. New Research Announcement | VRapeutic ร— Zewail City of Science and Technology (Egypt)

We are proud to announce the launch of a new research study in collaboration with Zewail City of Science and Technology and the Multimedia Interaction and Communication Lab AAST and WeBios Lab-AAST, focusing on passive stress detection in virtual reality using computer vision.

The study investigates a novel, non-intrusive approach to stress evaluationโ€”moving beyond wearable sensors such as EEG or skin conductance, and instead analyzing navigation behavior, posture, and micro-movements within carefully engineered VR environments. Our goal is to enable affordable, scalable, and accessible stress assessment for applications in mental health, education, training, and rehabilitation.

This work builds on VRapeuticโ€™s mission to translate cutting-edge immersive technologies into evidence-based, real-world impact, particularly in contexts where cost, comfort, and scalability matter.

Since inception, VRapeutic has been committed to supporting research in the field of immersive technologies, especially in the healthcare sector. This commitment has taken several forms including supervision of graduation projects, partnership with research-centered educational initiatives, and providing several research groups with VR development resources.

We are glad to see the 3rd research article employing VRapeutic's products published in such a prestigious journal. This is the result of a tedious amount of work by the stellar team who was working on this study--Moshira Abdalla, Heba Hassan, Nourhan Sharaf, and Sara Ahmed. VRapeutic's team had done a good amount of work facilitating the mission of this group of promising researchers, and we are glad it paid off.

As a part of the ongoing collaboration between VRapeutic and the Faculty of Physical Therapy at Cairo University, a discussion session was held, followed by a demonstration workshop of the company's software and its applications. The discussion session highlighted the areas and results of the ongoing research collaboration between VRapeutic and the Faculty to date. The workshop also focused on allowing professors, postgraduate and bachelor's students to use the software, which was followed by a discussion of other areas for using the company's software in therapy and rehab.
It is worth noting that the research collaboration between VRapeutic and the Faculty of Physical Therapy has so far resulted in a research article that has been accepted for publication, and another research article that is under preparation, in addition to three studies that are still in progress for which two protocols have been accepted on clinicaltrials.gov.
