The most common ORTHOPEDIC injuries in dogs....

When your dog tears its cruciate ligament, scar tissue needs to form in order to provide stability again; just like when you break a bone and the body creates new bone to heal it. With a damaged ligament, if your dog continues to walk on an instable leg the scar tissue will develop very loose resulting in an instable "healed" leg.

The Hero Cruciate Brace is custom to your dog. We take measurements, videos and photos along with casting your dogs leg to get the proper impression for the brace. The result? A brace that will prevent movement of the cruciate ligament while the dog is in the healing phase, creating a tight more stable scar tissue.

There are many pet owners who do not know there are other options other then surgical intervention for cruciates. However if your dog is at an age you don't feel surgery is an option or you can't afford the cost then it is important to know you can still help your dog.

Shockwave or Class IV Laser?

I get asked this question a lot, which is better to use for certain conditions. I have had the benefit of using both these modalities on people and the Class IV laser on my animal patients So which is better? Lets take a deeper dive into this;

Shockwave therapy and Class IV laser therapy are both effective treatment modalities for various conditions in horses, offering unique benefits based on their mechanisms of action. Here's a comparison of which conditions each therapy can address:

Shockwave Therapy:
