🌸 It's World Menopause Day! 🌸

Menopause care today has modern solutions and options that our grandmothers didn’t have. We have the science and tools to help women thrive during this transition, and it's important to talk about how you're feeling and ask questions about your options to ensure you receive the best care for your unique needs.

As a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) and Naturopathic Doctor, I focus on evidence-based treatments to support women through peri-menopause and menopause. This means addressing all aspects of your health and longevity, with approaches that can include:

Hormone therapy based on your unique needs 🔬
Nutritional and lifestyle changes supported by clinical research 🥗📊
Natural options to help you feel balanced and in control 🌿

Many women experience:
Hot flashes 🔥
Mood shifts 🌥️
Sleep disturbances 💤
Weight changes ⚖️
Cognitive changes ☁️

With the right care, you don’t have to accept these as the norm. Early intervention and personalized care can improve the quality of life through menopause and beyond.

The weather change officially marks the 5 month period of me being freezing all the time. 🥶

If this is you too, it might be a sign of iron deficiency or hypothyroidism. Iron deficiency is very common for women and can worsen during perimenopause.
Having your iron checked is an easy blood test, and treating accordingly can have a dramatic impact on your well-being!

It's IBS Awareness Month - and this is an illness that needs more attention!
It's the 2nd most common cause of lost work and patients who suffer from IBS have significant decreases in their quality of life.
Most of our IBS patients come to us to help them figure out what foods are causing their symptoms after removing more and more from their diet. But what if the food sensitivities are actually just a symptom of your IBS? What if you could treat the IBS itself and reduce the number food sensitivities and your IBS symptoms?
At Whole Medicine and the Kanata IBS Clinic - this is what we do.
We know you deserve a better (normal!) quality of life and figuring out the underlying cause of your IBS and treating the actual issue (instead of running from food) is what will get you there.

Understanding why you have IBS will help you get better from it.
We are here for you!
You deserve better!
