Botox is a purified Protein used to relax the muscles that create frown lines to the forehead, eyes and lip areas. It can be used as well in a preventative manner to stop further creasing as well allows lines to soften and fade. The treatment lasts 4 to 6 months. In the lower part of the face Medical Fillers can be used to naturally enhance the lips, smooth lines around the mouth, and contour the chin and jawline creating a soft lift. The treatment can last up to a year. Botox may also be used to treat excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) of the face, armpits, hands, and feet. The treatment is a very simple one. A small amount of Botox is injected intradermally (just under the skin) to the affected areas using a very fine needle. You may also choose to have a anesthetic cream applied prior to the treatment areas if needles are a concern. Significant reduction of sweating should be noticed with- in about 1 week of the treatment. The effects lasts up to seven months on average. Botox has been found helpful in the treatment of stress headaches and migraine headaches. Many people have reported a significant reduction after receiving Botox treatments. Sclerotherapy (treatment of veins) is a popular method used to eliminate varicose,
reticular and, spider veins for as long as the 1920’s. It is a small injection using a fine nee- dle into the diseased vein that causes it to collapse and disappear. A full leg assessment is done if treatment is required for varicose veins a referral can be arranged.

She has over 25 years of nursing experience in the fields of Emergency room, Acute Care, Operating Room, Oncology, and Surgical/Obstetrics.She has underwent training with Dr. Deborah Martin from Barrie in the Practicum and Theory of the administration of Botox, Medical Fillers and Sclerotherapy Treatments. Dr Martin has been providing care to Barrie and surrounding area residents for over 10 years. She is also an emergency department physician with 18 years experience in that field. Her private clinic has grown steadily and now trains physicians and nurses from around the world in these services.
