Shedding Season is HERE!

What does this mean?

Well with each season we enter, we shed old layers of skin so new layers of skin can appear. This typically happens every 28 days anyway due to old cells dying and new cells being remade (topically), but “fall shed” is different because it’s sometimes 2 or more layers of skin that we lose.

The beauty in this is this will allow when we do a product switch (this is ABSOLUTELY mandatory with each season) these products can better seep into our skin to combat the new skin concerns we are going to face. Also when doing medical grade services such as Pro Peels (this video of my client), I can increase the percentage in product I use to speed up the process of underlying bacteria sitting deep within the skin.

Pro Peels are used for clients who have severe acne (cystic/deep) or more prominent acne in common areas of the face, neck and chin. This treatment cuts through to the deepest blood brain layer of skin pushing the bacteria up and out.

With colder temperatures arriving, we should be switching from our light, water, gel based products and using more cream based cleansers, moisturizing serums and a bit of a heavier moisturizer. Our skin needs extra moisture and protection in colder weather. We should also still be using a moisturizer with SPF in it as a protective barrier.

First facial in awhile since COVID but it was a GREAT success!✨

As you can see, she’s suffered some pretty dark hyperpigmentation in certain areas of her face but that’s nothing that exfoliating and microdermabrasion can’t fix!😉✨

I will continue to work with her to combat her issues and also keep you all up to date in the meantime.

We’re also getting her to start out with 4 basic products in between her sessions. Having the right skincare at home is also EXTREMELY important post-treatment.
