‼️Chronic body checking often has very little to do with your actual body. It’s your nervous system seeking a sense of control in an uncontrollable world‼️

When we are stuck in fight-flight-freeze, our brains look for something tangible to control.

The easiest target? Ourselves.

If you’re looking for supporting learning how to regulate your system, and release the need for control as it relates to food and our bodies… come join our Self-Worth and Body Image group!

Together, let’s unpin our sense of safety from our body size and learn to soothe our nervous systems without the use of a scale.

📣 Body insecurity is a systemic issue, not an individual failure.

We live in a world that treats our bodies like projects that always need fixing. But have you ever stopped to ask who profits from that mindset?

The beauty, fitness, diet, and pharmaceutical/supplement industries are built on the foundation of our collective insecurity.

If we all woke up tomorrow and decided our bodies were “good enough,” those industries would lose billions.

Swipe through to explore why recognizing this “indoctrination” is the first step toward true freedom. ➡️

Recovery isn’t just about food; it’s about social justice. It’s about reclaiming your mind from a culture that wants you to stay distracted by the size of your thighs so you don’t realize your own power.

💸🚫Your body is not a problem to be solved!

We’ve been taught to view disordered eating as an individual “glitch.” But what if it’s actually a predictable response to a culture that profits from your insecurity?

In this clip, Amber and Ally discuss:
• How capitalist culture programs us from childhood to worry about our size.
• Why the fitness and supplement industries need us to stay unhappy.
• The power of recognizing this “indoctrination.”

Choosing to love yourself or even just accept yourself isn’t just a personal win — it’s an act of rebellion against a system designed to keep you small. ✊✨

Want to join the rebellion? We have a group for that!

🤔 How much of your daily thought energy is spent managing your body image?

Between the “food math” and “outfit anxiety”, and everything in between, many of us are running on empty before the day even begins.

What would you do with that time if you got it back?

Healing your relationship with your body isn’t just a “self-care” goal — it’s a functional one. It’s about getting your energy back so you can show up for your life, your career, and your people.

The pathway there isn’t simply about replacing negative thoughts with forced positive ones. It is about quiet, peace, and equanimity. It’s about reclamation.

We are diving deep into this work in our Self-Worth and Body Image group — comment “group” to have information sent directly to your DM’s, or click the link in our bio to learn more on our website or to book your spot in group!

Just because it’s not always DISTRESSING doesn’t mean it’s not DRAINING…

Disordered eating isn’t just about what’s on your plate — it’s about the “invisible labor” that happens in your mind.

It wakes up with you, and goes to bed with you. Sometime it even keeps you up at night.

In this snippet from our recent interview, we break down the hidden cost and mental exhaustion of living with this constant background noise…

• The “Body Checking” tab 🔍
• The “Comparison” tab 👥
• The “Future Planning” tab 🥗

Recovery isn’t just about food freedom; it’s about reclaiming your mental energy and real estate.

Imagine what you could do with all that extra brain power if those loops were finally closed?

This is something we should all be asking ourselves… here’s why:

If you’ve spent years in a cycle of dieting, restriction, and body shame, it’s easy to feel like “happiness” is just one more pant size away.

But the truth is that the constant need for control is often what keeps us from the very fulfillment we’re searching for.

Swipe through to explore a perspective shift on:

• The Control Trap: Why chasing a “perfect body” through shame doesn’t lead to happiness.

• A New Definition of Pride: Choosing a life of experiences over a life of measuring food.

• The Path Forward: Moving toward kindness, compassion, and food freedom.

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. At The Nourished Collaborative, we’ve created a space where you can deconstruct these narratives and find a more compassionate way to live.

🗓️ Join our weekly support groups:

• Mondays: A Mother’s Wellness Space (9:30 AM) & Body Image & Self-Worth (11:00 AM)
• Tuesdays: Neurodivergent Nutrition (6:00 PM)

❓❓“What do I ultimately want from my life at the end of the day” ❓❓

In this snippet from our recent interview we discuss how our own experiences with disordered eating shape how we support others in recovery.

Ally shares how asking herself what she wants to be proud of at the end of her life — a life of restriction and control, versus a full life of meaningful experiences — helped her realize that happiness comes from self-compassion, not body control.

We talk about how breaking free from shame and restriction is the real path to fulfillment, and how rebuilding trust with ourselves through this work allows us to finally start living a life with genuine meaning.

🌱 Mother’s Wellness Group

A supportive group for mothers navigating the emotional, physical, and mental load of caregiving—without pressure to do it “better” or more perfectly.

We explore:
• The invisible labor of motherhood
• Burnout, depletion, and chronic overwhelm
• Identity shifts and grief alongside love
• Nourishment, rest, and care in real life
• Letting go of “shoulds” and unrealistic expectations
• Reconnecting with yourself beyond productivity

This group offers a place to be met as a whole person, not just in your role as a mother—held with compassion, nervous-system awareness, and community.

💚 Body Image & Self-Worth Group

A space to explore how culture, capitalism, and productivity ideals shape the way we see ourselves — and how to loosen their grip by changing the way we relate to ourselves and our bodies.

We explore:
• Body image beyond appearance
• Shame, comparison, and internalized expectations
• Productivity, rest, and worth
• Reconnecting to the body with curiosity and care
• Building self-worth that isn’t conditional
• Practicing self-compassion in a relational space

This group offers space to unlearn harmful narratives together, rather than carrying them alone.
