Somewhere between functional and mystical, a broth was conjured with healing plants harvested from the holy mountain on which we live.
I was sick, and needed not to be. I searched high and low for a chicken soup that was nourishing to the body and soul, but found myself negotiating with trans fats and high sodium, a sign of the times and mission for my apothecary.
I decocted osha (one of my dearest plant allies and a fantastic agent for cough, pneumonia, respiratory infections and bronchitis) and astragalus root (another old friend I call on when immune support is needed) then added a ton of ginger, garlic, veg, and free range chicken, some herbs, and voila! Instantly transported to those magical moments where it’s just me, in the sun, face to face with the bear, digging roots and offering to***co. As for the cold, I won this round.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency “loves” when I add things to things that aren’t on our approved Canadian food pyramid. Hi Janet! I’m doing it again ✌🏼

I wanted to work this wild rose oil I made in the summer into a nourishing lip butter, so I formulated it with (all organic) cacao butter, shea butter, beeswax, coconut oil, vitamin E, honey and hyaluronic acid. I’ve always been a chapstick gal so I’m looking for the perfect texture that is nourishing, au naturel, and glidey, but not sticky and thick.
I whipped up a matching lip scrub, and call it Mountain Lips.
I ordered biodegradable lip balm containers for good measure, incase it falls out of your pocket and into our streams :)

It’s been such a hot minute it took me a whole 3 days to figure out where this page lives~

Assembling a new Moon in Sagittarius ritual bath: blue lotus oil infused with lapis lazuli, corn flower essences, lotus petals and epsom salts.
Since antiquity, we have been using Blue Lotus as a mystical ally to induce meditative states, relaxation and euphoria. When we infuse this with lapis lazuli, we increase the potential for heightened awareness, purification of the throat and third eye chakra, increased intuitive faculties, spiritual protection and transcendental experiences.

*this did not produce a “Thing 1 and Thing 2” type of situation in the bathtub after the magic hit*.
