Congratulations to Mateo Porter-Partide and Nadifa Omar, finalists for Young Citizen of the Year at the Kelowna Civic Awards, whose achievements, leadership, and dedication to the community continue to inspire those around them.

We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to make in the future.

Huge congratulations to Dilynn Scott on being recognized as Young Citizen of the Year at this year’s Kelowna Civic Awards!

Another winner at the Kelowna Civic Awards, Finley Cashin, was honored with the Male Athlete of the Year Award, sponsored by the Payton and Dillon Budd Memorial Fund. Finley’s achievements on the world stage and the strong local support he shares with the skiing community stood out. It was supposed to be every 2 years but time has slipped by and it has been 4 years since Fundraiser #1, where we raised approx. $225,000 which was matched by the Thomas Alan Budd Foundation 1-to1. All funds raised are targeted to mental health initiatives in the Okanagan!

The YMCA of Southern Interior BC is inviting the community to come out and celebrate a day of fun, fitness, and philanthropy at Stuart Park this Sunday for the 18th annual Cycle for Strong Kids event.
Running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the outdoor event is the Y’s largest fundraiser of the year, presented by the Payton and Dillon Budd Memorial Fund.
“The Y is making an immense impact on empowering our youth — a cause I am exceptionally passionate about,” says Tom Budd, philanthropist and founder of the Payton and Dillon Budd Memorial Fund.
“As a dedicated advocate for mental health, I am proud to support this event and help uplift future generations to ensure no child is left behind."
