“I was really tired of wearing glasses all the time, especially for sports like hockey and skiing and traveling with multiple pairs was a nuisance. I was nervous about laser eye surgery and thought the recovery would be long and tough, but it wasn’t! I could see pretty well right after, and now I see perfectly—better than 20/20. It surely has been life-changing. Not needing to clean or search for my glasses, being able to walk out the door, pick any sunglasses off the shelf to buy, and exercise without anything on my head has made life so much better. “I’m very goal-oriented, and once I write something down, I commit to it. I set a personal goal to correct my vision, and once it was part of my plan, I knew it was happening. Mainly, what held me back before was the time off work. Running my own business means I need to be intentional with scheduling downtime, but I knew I had to take the time to invest in myself. It’s such a treat not to reach for glasses or deal with contacts every day! Even simple things, like spotting deer across the street in the vineyard, feel like a gift now.
