Burnout happens when effort outweighs reward.

And reward isn’t just money.

It’s:
• Feeling appreciated
• Being treated fairly
• Having a sense of community
• Actually seeing the impact of what you do

When those are missing, even the most capable, resilient people start to burn out.

It’s not that you can’t handle hard work.
It’s that hard work without enough return, emotionally, mentally, or physically, isn’t sustainable.

Sometimes the problem isn’t you. It’s the imbalance.

How to drink more water when you don’t want to drink more water.

1. Having a great waterbottle that you actually want to use can go a long way.
2. Flavouring your water with fruit, herbs, spices, or cucumber can make it less boring.
3. Tracking your water intake throughout the day can help motivate you to drink more when you are falling behind.

Happy Hydrating!

Your gut microbiome does a lot more than you think.

A healthy microbiome helps regulate blood sugar, supports healthy cholesterol levels, and even reduces inflammation, lowering your risk for things like heart disease and colorectal cancer.

This isn’t just about bloating.
It’s about protecting your long-term health.

Take care of your gut, and it takes care of you.

Inside your intestines are trillions of microorganisms: bacteria, fungi, viruses, phages,
archaea, all living together.

Your microbes depend on you for food and stability.

In return? They do a lot for you. They...
• Break down food
• Make vitamins
• Protect against pathogens
• Support the immune system

Be sure to take care of your microbiome by eating a large variety of plant fibres (when healthy to do so).

My go-to way of preventing (or recovering from) burnout often involves going to coffee shops. Stepping out of the hectic head space I have created for myself into somewhere more calm always helps.

Even if you find yourself too busy to stop working for a bit, being in another environment and slowing down your speed can go a long way.

I hope everyone who reads this is managing their autumn okay.

This class is really helpful for adults who have ADHD and maybe don't yet have the strategies they need to optimize their focus and help them stay organized. So many people are diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood and many have not had the same opportunities to develop these skills as they would have if they were diagnosed earlier.

So Michelle is here to fill in the gaps. Registration is on Eventbrite. If you are seeing this on Facebook, there is a link below.
