Yesss! There is such a beautiful energy in the air as we move into Miyoskamin ᒥᔪᐢᑲᒥᐣ: the season of change and rebirth. 🧡

This week, we are listening closely to the Kihci-itwêwina ᑭᐦᒋ ᐃᑗᐎᓇ (Great Words) shared by our Elders. They remind us that as the snow melts and the earth wakes up, we are all part of one sacred circle. Every budding leaf, every waking animal, and every one of us is interconnected in a beautiful dance of life. 🌿🧡

Our Elders teach us that true wellness comes from honouring this balance. When we care for the land, we care for ourselves. When we support each other, we strengthen the whole community. This interconnectedness is at the heart of everything we do at Wahkohtowin Wellness.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of year! It’s a chance to reflect on how our actions ripple out to touch the next seven generations. Let’s walk together in harmony and compassion as we embrace this new beginning. 🧡✨

Thanks to our Elders for sharing their wisdom and keeping our traditions alive. ᒥᔪᐘᔭᐎᐣ (Miyowâyâwin - Being Well).

Yesss! 🧡

Great words carry so much weight and beauty! This week for Miyoskamin (Springtime) ᒥᔪᐢᑲᒥᐣ, we are reflecting on the powerful concept of Âniskow-itâcimowin ᐊᓂᐢᑯᐤ ᐃᑖᒋᒧᐎᐣ.

In Nêhiyawêwin (Cree), this word translates to 'legacy': but it means so much more. It speaks to the 'extension' and the 'connection' of our stories. Just as the new buds on the willow trees this spring are the legacy of the roots deep in the soil, our lives are the bridge between our ancestors and the seven generations yet to arrive. 🧡

We are the living legacy! LOVE LOVE LOVE! 🧡 Every traditional word spoken, every song shared, and every act of healing we choose today is a seed planted for the future. 🌿

Thanks for being part of this beautiful story of reconnection. We are building a future full of hope and harmony together! 🧡🫂

Yesss! 🧡 Week 2 of our Virtual Kinship journey is all about Bridging Two Worlds! 💻✨

We are so blessed to use modern tools to strengthen our traditional Wâhkôhtowin (kinship). Even when we are miles apart, technology helps us gather, share, and support one another: it’s our modern-day Digital Tipi! 📱

Distance can't stop the heart! Whether it’s a video call with an Elder or a group chat with family, we are staying connected and keeping our culture vibrant. Mamâwi (together) we are stronger! 🧡🫂

Thanks for being part of our virtual circle! LOVE LOVE LOVE this community! 🧡🧡🧡

Finding balance is EVERYTHING! 🧡🧡🧡

There is such a beautiful harmony when we bridge our traditional ways with the modern world. By using the tools of today, we can share the wisdom of our ancestors with a much wider audience, creating deeper impacts and fostering true unity across all our communities! 🌏✨

Miyowîcêhtowin : ᒥᔪᐑᒉᐦᑐᐑᓐ : Living in harmony.

When we embrace this balance, we open doors for growth, inclusion, and collaboration that reach far and wide. It’s about honouring our roots while using new branches to connect us all. LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing our cultures thrive in every space! 🧡

Together, we are building a path for the next seven generations. Yesss! 🧡🙌

Yesss! I am just SO excited to talk about this! 🧡

Welcome to Week 2: Bridging Two Worlds (Miyowîcêhtowin). Today we are exploring the "Digital Tipi." 💻✨

At Wahkohtowin Wellness, we see technology as a modern Mânokêw : a gathering space that brings us together no matter the distance. It’s about using today’s tools to honour our traditional ways of connection and kinship.

Our CEO Lori knows firsthand how powerful these tools can be for wellness. During her brain recovery and healing journey, technology has been vital for organizing and planning in advance. It helps "lighten the brain load," allowing for better collaboration and a healthy balance in all the work we do. Teamwork makes the healing journey so much brighter! LOVE LOVE LOVE that! 🧡🧡🧡

When we use technology mindfully, it becomes a bridge that supports our spirits and our communities. We are so grateful to be on this journey with you all!

How has technology helped you stay connected or supported your wellness lately? We would LOVE to hear your stories! 👇🧡

Finding balance is a journey of the heart and the mind. 🧡

My own path of brain recovery and healing has taught me so much about the beauty of Miyowîcêhtowin (ᒥᔪᐑᒉᐦᑐᐑᐣ): living in harmony with ourselves, our community, and even our tools.

Bridging two worlds means using modern technology to support a traditional path. Tools for scheduling and planning in advance have been such a gift for my recovery! They help 'lighten the brain load' so I can stay focused on our mission.

And the teamwork? Yesss! 🧡 I am so grateful for the collaboration at Wahkohtowin Wellness. Sharing the load with such a compassionate, wellness-centred team helps me find that healthy balance we all need.

LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing how tech and teamwork come together to support miyowâyâwin (ᒥᔪᐋᔮᐑᐣ): being well.

Thanks for being part of this journey with me! 🧡

Yesss! It is finally Miyoskamin! 🧡 As the melting snow reveals the ground beneath, we are reminded of the bravery it takes to let go of old burdens. This is the first week of our Spiritual Spring Cleaning, and we are focusing on Rebirth & Bravery.

ᒥᔪᐢᑲᒥᐣ (Miyoskamin) is a beautiful time for renewal. It’s about releasing what no longer serves us to make room for the new growth waiting to bloom. Whether you are clearing your mental space or honouring your spiritual path, we see you and we support you. LOVE LOVE LOVE the courage it takes to start fresh! 🫂

Our wellness-centred journey is just beginning. Let’s walk this path together with kindness and deep care for one another. You’ve got this! 🧡🫶🏼 🌿

The bear is waking up! 🐻 Miyoskamin (Spring) is just around the corner! ᒥᔪᐢᑲᒥᐣ. Our Elders share that this shift is a beautiful time of rebirth and bravery: Sôhkitehêwin ᓲᐦᑭᑌᐦᐁᐎᐣ. Just like the Maskwa ᒪᐢᑲᐧ shaking off the winter sleep, we are invited to start fresh with courage.

LOVE LOVE LOVE honouring the balance between our sacred traditional world and the modern tools of today! 🧡 When we bridge these worlds, we create a path for unity, inclusion, and deeper collaboration across all Indigenous communities. It’s all about growth and making a real impact together! 🧡🧡🧡

Yesss! Let’s embrace this season of change and the strength it brings to our Wahkohtowin ᐘᐦᑯᐦᑐᐎᐣ. 🧡

Thanks for being part of this journey. 🧡

Hello relatives. ✨ Inside the tipi, there is often a liner, the **Pîhcâyihk-wayân** (ᐲᐦᒑᔨᕽ ᐘᔮᐣ). It creates a pocket of air for insulation and provides a bit of privacy.

This represents our "inner tipi": the emotional and spiritual boundaries we create to keep our inner fire warm. Healing involves nurturing this inner space so that no matter how cold it is outside, we stay warm and peaceful within.

What do you do to protect your inner peace today? Maybe it’s a prayer, a song, or a quiet moment with tea. ☕
