This year we have successfully cultivated and collected fungal specimens from Psilocybe allenii, a wood-loving Psilocybe species native to the Pacific Northwest, under controlled indoor conditions, while maintaining Health Canada compliance and GACP standards.

By carefully replicating the weather patterns and environmental conditions of central Vancouver Island’s Spring-Fall 2023 season, we achieved consistent yields per container, enabling us to advance research and development efforts.

This successful cultivation marks a pivotal step forward, allowing us to collect biopsies for further propagation, spore collection, and analytical testing. These efforts will lay the groundwork for stabilizing future cultivation cycles and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for potential applications in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).

Psilocybe allenii thrives on decomposing wood in cool, moist climates, and while indoor cultivation of this species has been achieved before, our approach highlights how closely replicating natural conditions can yield reliable and scalable results. More information can be found on Wiki.
