Do you know someone great?

Active Living Chiropractic and Massage is seeking a part-time receptionist. The ideal candidate will be personable, have exceptional customer service and computer skills, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment both on their own and as a part of a group. The position will require general reception, answering phones, scheduling appointments, submitting to insurance providers, and other office duties.
This position would be mainly afternoon shifts and approximately 14-18 hours a week with the possibility to pick up more shifts on an on-call basis.
Available hours:

Monday 1:00pm-7:00pm
Tuesday's 9:00am-1:00pm
Friday 12:00pm-4:00pm

This would be an ideal option for a student. The chosen applicant would be required to start training as soon as possible.
Experience working in a clinic would be beneficial but not required for the right candidate.

🎒📚 Back to School is Here! Let’s Talk Backpacks 📚🎒

It’s that time of year again—back to school! As kids head back to class, it’s important to pay attention to how backpacks can affect their posture and spine health. The way a backpack is worn and how heavy it is can have a big impact on your child’s overall comfort and well-being.

Here are some tips to keep your kids’ backs healthy this school year:

✅ Choose the Right Size: Make sure the backpack fits your child properly. It shouldn’t be wider or longer than their torso.

✅ Pack Light: A backpack should weigh no more than 10-15% of your child’s body weight. Pack the heaviest items closest to their back to reduce strain.

✅ Use Both Straps: Make sure your child is wearing both straps, adjusted snugly to keep the backpack close to the body. Using one strap can cause muscle strain and imbalance.

✅ Look for Padded Straps: Wide, padded shoulder straps help distribute the weight more evenly and reduce pressure on the shoulders.
