The simplicity of a lip flip!

Why we use PRF instead of PRP
Most clinics offer PRP microneedling but we’ve chosen to work with PRF, and there’s a reason for that.
Both PRP and PRF come from your own blood, but the way they’re processed is different, and that directly impacts how they perform in the skin.
PRF is spun at a lower speed and without any additives or anticoagulants. This allows more of the beneficial components to remain intact specifically white blood cells, stem cells, platelets, and growth factors. These are all key players in healing, inflammation control, and collagen production.
Another important difference is that PRF forms a fibrin matrix. Think of this as a scaffold that sits within the skin after treatment. Instead of releasing growth factors all at once, it allows for a slow, sustained release over time.
With traditional microneedling, you’re creating controlled micro-injuries to stimulate collagen. When you add PRF, you’re not just triggering that response, you’re actively supporting and extending it.

We’re excited to be launching our final treatment: PRF Microneedling ✨
This treatment combines microneedling with your body’s own Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) to enhance the skin’s natural healing response.
Microneedling on its own works by creating controlled micro-injuries to stimulate collagen and elastin. By adding PRF, we’re able to support that process on a deeper level. The fibrin matrix acts as a scaffold within the skin, allowing for a slow, sustained release of growth factors that continue to support repair and regeneration after your treatment.

Kayla has been a Licensed Practical Nurse since 2016 and is currently completing her BScN through Ryerson University. She is the co-owner of Organic Glow Medical Aesthetics and is thrilled to combine her nursing experience with her passion for skin wellness to perform individualized assessments and client teaching regarding the advancements of skin care! Kayla is certified in both dermaplaning and chemical peels and she strives to further her education to target client concerns and produce excellent results.
Erika Wiklund
Erika has been Registered Nurse since 2017, and since then, completed four advanced practice certificates. She has worked in a variety of settings, including being a primary care practitioner. Her love of working one-on-one with clients to build and achieve their wellness goals combined with her passion for skincare resulted in the development of Organic Glow Medical Aesthetics with co-owner Kayla! Erika is certified in chemical peels, dermaplaning, and is currently completing a master facial certificate. Dedicated to developing the best practices for exceptional results, Erika is forever learning and passing along the benefits to her clients!
