We need to move our bodies. “Motion is lotion” to our joints and ligaments. We are social creatures. It brings joy to be around others (even if it’s a very select few). I combined these and went for a hike with a friend. Exercise, nature, fresh air, sunlight, friendship. Beautiful way to grow healthier.

February, the month of love.

What are you doing to show yourself love?

Mani, pedi, longer glorious shower, soak in the tub, plan a trip, do your hair or makeup, read a book you’ve wanted to read, start working out, walk more, …?

You get to choose your hard. Staying where you are, or going for your dreams.

"If you do what is easy now, your life will be hard. If you do what is hard, your life will be easy."

Start small, be consistent. Yes, small. It's important for your brain to feel safe. But be consistent. Every day, every time, every moment. Be consistent. the small steps will get you there.

You have wanted something new, not the same year after year. Start with something basic.

~ wake up 15 minutes earlier, do this for 5 days then wake up 15 minutes earlier than that. Do this until you get up at your desired time (5 or 6 a.m.)
~ make your bed each day, no exception. it starts your day with something accomplished and ends your day with a welcoming to slumber land
~ increase your water intake, just add one extra glass of water today. Then in a few days, add another. Till you have half your body weight pounds in ounces (if you weight 150 pounds, then you will want 75 ounces of water)
~ forego the snacks today, unless medically needed. If you must snack, make it a small one of protein, not sugar or pastry
~ move your body more. Park farther away from the door, take the stairs (even for one floor), dance your heart out in the kitchen, ...

Grab one or two ideas and implement them. Now they key is ... CONSISTENCY. If you want to make a change that is lasting, you must be consistent. That is why you must be selective and make small changes. If you want to revamp everything, start with a couple things. If you try to change too many things too fast, your brain will resist.
