3 things I’ve learned from Years of training.

1. Food comes first. No matter if you’re building muscle or losing fat your diet will predict the time, effort, and health of your end goal.

2. Stop chasing perfection. When it comes to training there isn’t a perfect approach so find what works for you and get 1% better everyday.

3. Never stop learning. NEVER think you have the best form, techniques, or routines. There can always be improvement somewhere. Keep an open mind and try new things.

My fitness journey has been full of ups and downs but 1 thing I can say is I’ve never stop trying..

Consistency is key so remember your WHY and kill it every single day!

Today’s early AM training session: Chest and tris.

Trying to get in early morning workouts is KILLING ME! Since the bulk ended I’ve toned down slightly on the volume trying to let my body take a break after months of heavy loads and constant DOMS.

Had a great bulk but now it’s time for the cut to begin! Hoping the stage will be ready for me just as much as I’m hoping to be ready for the stage.💪

Although you had to witness my constant drip of sweat and heavy ass breathing I would choose to take you hiking in any lifetime!

Thank you for being the best partner to travel Europe, hike local trails, and even rot in bed with movies back to back.

Transformation: March 2025 - June 2025

As this bulk comes to its end I can say I’m proud of the gains that have been made!

I’m also proud of the relatively lean physiques I’ve been able to maintain unlike bulks in the past. I’m here to say if you can build a plan and stick to it you WILL accomplish your goals.

I’d be lying if I said I stuck to the plan every single day there was a cheat here and there but I always kept my end goal in mind! So just because you’ve had 1 bad day doesn’t mean it’s time to give up.

Get back to it the next day and always make progress!

Out on the water this past weekend!

Rather than hitting the gym over the weekend and I got some extra exercise out on the lake with the heat this weekend.

Not only benefiting with some easy exercise but allowing me as a big back to not eat all day long as I have done!

Physique update.

6 weeks into this bulk and feeling good! Been working on bringing up my legs (especially hamstrings) and so far it’s been decent.

Aside from a few missed workout here and there making sure the intensity is there when training is better than nothing.

Excited to see where the rest of this bulk takes me.

MY CURRENT GOAL.

In the 1st photo that’s me just over a year ago.

Little smaller and WAY more lean, and with my new built size I’d like to work my way back down to a lower body fat and maintain it from there.

This past bulk I made great size gains and even better strength gains, I was feeling like a boss! But during that time I stopped focussing my diet as hard and went a little overboard on calories most days.

In that time I ended up raising my body fat a bit losing the abs and being bloated everyday. It was no fun.

So that’s why I made it a goal of mine to be as lean as that 1st photo by the end of this year!

What I’ve changed in my plan is I’ve added a 30 minute cardio session every morning and lowered my calories from peak bulk at 4500cals to 2500cals and let me tell ya it’s working!

Currently so far has gone from 235lbs - 222lbs and no more bloat haha.

SAME SHIRT NEW ARMS.

The time in between these 2 photos was roughly 7ish years! Back 7 years ago I had already spent about 3 years in the gym but never made it a priority.

I was lacking discipline and felt mad at myself for not “being better” little did I know is that all it took was a look into the mirror and some Snapchat flashbacks to switch this mindset.

You may at this point have a mindset where you’re only good at feeling sorry for yourself but I assure you you also have the ability to take steps towards a mindset of discipline, and growth.

Take small steps day by day.

It’s going to be a long process but with all the time you have left you have a choice to do better, be better, and live better..

SMALL WINS MATTER MOST!

Over the past 4 weeks I’ve been waking up every morning with the goal to complete a 30 minute cardio session.

Not only have I been doing this to help with the current cut I’m doing but the motivation it gives me to stick to my routine and stack my small daily wins is remarkable.

In the past I’ve struggled with staying motivated in and out of the gym and it would always make me feel bad like I was doing a disservice to myself.

Since learning about stacking small wins to win your days it’s made my development as a person sky rocket.

Small wins can be anything from not snoozing the alarm to remembering your vitamins or walking the dog, stack these wins everyday and watch yourself grow disciplined.

Something I preach all too often but makes the biggest difference..

CONSISTENCY.

Consistency in everything you do whether it’s a hobby or job or fitness routine will build discipline and skill. And the more disciplined and skilled you are at specific tasks will provide much value in your day to day life.

From teaching to timing it always helps having a good grasp on everything you do. So if there’s something that you may not want to do do it anyway. Do it consistently and you’ll never have a problem with doing anything again.

Life is a learning process, don’t be afraid to learn.
