LETS TALK ABOUT PAIN ❤️‍🩹

Pain is a message. You have pain receptors in your body (called nociceptors) and when they are stimulated it tells your brain to send pain signals to that area of the body.

This is important to understand. ⚠️

Why? Because if you understand that pain is simply a survival function of the body then you can get curious (without judgement) about what it’s trying to tell you!

In our society we get a lot of stories about pain and how we should be trying our best to not experience it. So we numb it, avoid it, and fear it. We judge ourselves for experiencing pain, and think we would be much happier if it didn’t exist. We give it moral value and we make it a bad thing.

But what if we just stopped and looked at it. 🤔

We acknowledged and recognized it for what it is and we realized that it means nothing bad about us or our bodies. Our bodies are functioning perfectly just as they are.

Pain isn’t a villain, it’s just your body trying to tell you something potentially harmful is going on in your body and it needs your attention.❗️

Hi! 👋 As many of you know I will be increasing my rates soon, so here’s some details about the upcoming change!

RATES:
I will have new rates starting May 15, 2024
The new rates will include any add-on services free of charge, including cupping massage.

Along with the changes to my rates, I will no longer be accepting gratuity. No need to wonder about if/how much to tip, the rate you see is what you pay. (Also includes GST)

LOCK IN CURRENT RATES:
If you would like to stay at my current rate you are welcome to pre-purchase treatments to lock in at my current rate! You may choose how many appointments you want to pre purchase and they will be credited to your account.

INTRO OFFER:
My Introductory offer for first time clients will also be ending on May 15th ($65 for 60 minute massage) but as long as it is booked by May 15 I will honour the price. So if you haven’t booked in before or you know a friend who hasn’t seen me yet, there’s still time to take advantage of this awesome deal.

The wait is over! My big reveal is that I am doing a full rebrand of my business. 🎉

I am proud of the business I have built over the past year, but it’s time for growth and bigger things… So as of today I will now be operating as OKGN Valley Massage! 🙌

Along with a new name, new logo, and new website I will have some new policies and pricing coming soon. Stay tuned for updates.
