Thanks to a small group of dedicated supporters, including our friends at Traine Construction & Development, 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 & 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐚 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 up to $100,000 this holiday season during our Who's On Your List? Each week, three to four children come through our doors for interviews related to concerns about their safety and wellbeing. From there, we surround every child with a coordinated circle of care to support their healing journey: medical and mental health professionals, advocates, police investigators, child protection workers, and justice system navigators all work together under one roof to provide compassionate, wraparound services.

Sending heartfelt gratitude to the multi-talented Aria Becker of Freeze the Fall Band for contributing her artwork to this year’s Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise Season of Giving 12 Days of Prizes Calendar! Yes, this girl can rock AND she can paint, too! 🎸🎨

This calendar has been making an impact for vulnerable children at the CYAC for five years now, and this is the very first time we’ve had a youth artist lend their talents to the front cover. Aria’s piece beautifully reflects the hope, resilience, and magic of childhood, the very things the CYAC works to protect and restore every day. What an incredible milestone. Thank you, Aria! 💙

The reasons why children and youth walk through our doors are never easy. But once they are here, we have the profound opportunity to change what happens next, ensuring they are safe and supported on their journey to healing.

In our 2024-2025 operating year, sexual and physical abuse were the most common reasons children and youth were referred to the CYAC, statistics that have remained relatively consistent since we opened in 2020.

It is important to note that each type of abuse does not occur in isolation; children referred to the CYAC have often experienced more than one type of abuse.

Thanks to our partners, donors, and supporters, what happens next is a coordinated, trauma-informed response that creates a circle of care around children, youth, and their safe caregivers, helping them take their next steps toward resilience and recovery.
