The CYAC brings community and government agencies together in one child-friendly space. From here, we work as one team to create a circle of care around vulnerable children, youth, and families impacted by child abuse and neglect.

We are proud to work alongside an exceptional network of partners who make this possible:

๐Ÿ’™ Central Okanagan Elizabeth Fry Society
๐Ÿ’™ Interior Health
๐Ÿ’™ Ministry of Children and Family Development
๐Ÿ’™ Kelowna RCMP
๐Ÿ’™ Westbank First Nation

Our multi-disciplinary team works together to ensure that the children and youth who walk through our doors receive the trauma-informed protection and support they deserve. Every story of resilience and step towards healing is made possible because of this collaboration. We are deeply grateful to our partners for their dedication to creating lasting, positive impact in our community.

Back to school is just around the corner!

After parents and caregivers, teachers and school staff are often the adults children see mostโ€”and sometimes the first safe adult they feel comfortable turning to when something isnโ€™t right.

For children and youth experiencing abuse or neglect, help starts with a report.

If you have reason to believe that a child under 19 has been or is likely to be abused or neglected, call 1-800-663-9122. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.

For seven years (and counting!) the Rotary Club of Kelowna Ogopogo has been putting the FUN in fundraising with their Fancy Pants Golf Tournament โ€“ and none of it would be possible without amazing sponsors like Acera Insurance and Traine Construction & Development!

These organizations do so much good in our community, and weโ€™re grateful they jumped right in โ€“ one leg at a time โ€“ to support Fancy Pants.

This event brings together community-minded businesses and individuals. Thank you to BDO Canada, Holar Developments, Martin J Russell, Okanagan Valley Insurance, SKYTRAC Systems Ltd., The Veitch Family, 2050 Investment Advisory Group at RJL, and Franklin Templeton for your incredible support.

Proceeds from the tournament support the CYAC and other community organizations.

A Safe Place of Hope, Help and Healing

One in three children in Canada suffer trauma related to various forms of abuse. This is unacceptable.

The current system for helping children who have been abused is not working as well as it should or could. Individuals working with these children, youth and families are dedicated professionals. But they are frustrated that the good work they do is often compromised by the complexity and disconnectedness of the system.

We believe there is a better way. With a shared community purpose, we want to provide the hope, help and healing these children so desperately need.

  • We will bring all of the necessary services and people under one roof.
