We are currently accepting resumes for Behaviour Interventionist positions to work with families living in the Kelowna, Lake Country, and West Kelowna.

Do you enjoy working with children? Looking for a rewarding career making a difference in the lives of children? Are you looking to gain experience as you pursue a career or education in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Education, Speech Language Pathology or Occupational Therapy?

Description of Duties:
You will be working in the home of a child diagnosed with Autism as part of a multi-disciplinary team. During your sessions you will work one-on-one with the child teaching play, communication, and social skills. Together with the child, you will play with puzzles, sing songs, build blocks, push cars and trains, and anything else that the child enjoys. You will incorporate specific goals during play and table-work and track the child’s progress. Each session lasts 2-3 hrs, and you will be asked to work a minimum of 2 sessions per week.

- We are currently looking for people who can work between the hours of 8:30-5:30
- Full-Time and Part-Time hours are available
- A two-day training workshop will be provided

Qualifications:
- Experience with small children and/or persons with diverse abilities is an asset
- Love working with children
- Candidates are required to be patient, self-motivated, extremely reliable, enthusiastic, and possess excellent communication skills
- A car and a valid driver's license is an asset but not a requirement
- Minimum age for applicants is 19
- Commitment of at least 6 hours per week
- Clear criminal record
