Horses can be therapeutic creatures that share a powerful silence that cannot be described.

Every year, COHA provides two Horse Whisperer Grief Camps for children and youth. This is a one-day camp where connections and grief can be experienced with these beautiful giants and each other.

If you know a child or youth between the ages 5-19 who has experienced a loss this program is available to access at no cost.

When: May 30, 2026
Time: 12:00 - 5:00pm

All materials, refreshments and food provided.

Legacy on Links Charity Golf Tournament is unlike any other. On the last day of our 8-week Brave Hearts Children’s Grief Group Club it was a moment to let love bloom. Our young client’s brought in mementos and shared memories of the loved ones that they had lost.

Afterwards, they decorated clay pots and filled them with spring flowers to be planted in their honor. Tender moments shared by incredible young souls.

Thank you to our supporters for making this program possible. Because of you, little hearts are held and supported.

For 44 years, the Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA) has had the profound honour of walking alongside individuals and families through some of life’s most tender moments.

Since 1982, our community has trusted us to provide barrier-free, compassionate palliative and end-of-life support, as well as grief and bereavement services for those who need them. Every conversation, every visit, every shared moment of care is made possible by the generosity of our donors, our community partners, our members, our staff and Board of Directors, and the dedication of our past and present volunteers.

It is truly a privilege to serve the Central Okanagan community.

As we mark 44 years, we reflect with gratitude on the lives we have touched — and will remain a pillar of support for our community.
