Wow, I am incredibly honoured, humbled and grateful to be in the Top 3 Finalists for Citizen of the Year for the City of Kelowna! This has been a meaningFULL year of
- growing our Alive Counselling team and serving more of Kelowna
- supervising the next generation of therapists
- Open Space community mental heath events with &
- our big OPEN ICE NHL event with some of our friends like Shea Weber, Mike Smith, Andrew Ladd, Jordin Tootoo, & Wade Redden (who we also got to coach our kids with this year too!)
- supporting athletes in their Olympic dreams in Milan and their Memorial Cup dreams here in Kelowna
- coaching our 3 kids in hockey across 3 different age groups, which huge shoutout to my husband Taylor who was the head coach of our son’s U11 team and up for Team of the Year!!
- speaking at the Global Congress of Sport at Baylor University in Texas
- championing the newest team, and first hand seeing how these girls I’ve gotten to coach or play with are now inspiring my daughter and her friends. Plus it’s one of the BEST rink atmospheres I’ve ever been at!
- trying (& loving) this new slower, more intentional rhythm of homeschooling this year too! So it’s been so fun to have my kids apart of a lot of it!

This means so much to me on almost the exact date of my Canadian Citizenship 4 years ago. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Kelowna! 🥹❤️🙌
