Bruce will teach a variety of pottery wheel techniques including clay preparation, extruding clay for production, centering shapes for throwing different pots or plates, throwing clay off the hump lids, bowls, spouts, goblets etc.
Production throwing, a series of honey pots and mugs
using the laser light for pot sizes and lid fit, altering clay after throwing, fish trays, throwing French butter dishes, Rolled handles for the fish tray and lion feet for other interesting ware.
Throwing a large twisted scored vase (very interesting to see)
Turning pots using bisque fired chucks (a variation of Paul Davis idea)
This plus other inspirations from 40 years of workshops and observations from many Great potters
Grant Nyeste will teach a number of techniques that he has mastered including throwing a large slab of clay without the use of a slab roller, mugs wheel thrown then altered,
adding extruded handles and feet to slab pots
