The concept of ‘Let’s talk’ day is powerful because it can mean so many things...
•Talking about your own mental health is brave, important, and not only helpful for yourself, but to others as well. It can be the first step on the path to healing.
•It’s important to check in with others and invite others to talk. Even if you don’t understand, you can be supportive.
•Talking about mental health helps to normalize it and break down the stigma.

By the age of 40, 50% of people will have or have had a mental illness (Mental Health Commission of Canada, 2013).

You are not alone. There is help.
