🤩 but wait there’s more… please help me welcome another new physiotherapist to the Valeo team - Matthew Chin!!!

Matthew grew up in Montreal, QC, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Exercise Science at Concordia University, and became a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He went on to graduate from McGill University with a Masters of Physiotherapy, and worked in Montreal before moving to Kelowna in the summer of 2021. ☀️

Matthew is a physiotherapist with a comprehensive approach to optimizing patients. His knowledge and experience in physical conditioning strengthens his practice to guide patients throughout their entire rehab, back to sport and performing, to their full potential. 💪🏼

Matthew has a keen interest in running rehab and vestibular conditions, and is certified to dry needle. He will happily work with you in English or French. 😃

As Matthew values the importance of professional development, he attends a variety of continuing education courses to stay abreast with the latest research and continuously improve his patient care. Additionally, he likes to contribute to the development of the profession through mentorship of physiotherapy residents, and kinesiology & rehab assistant students, and has guest lectured at McGill in their Masters level course.🧠

Since moving to Kelowna, Matt has taken advantage of the outdoor activities that the Okanagan has to offer. In the winter, he especially enjoys backcountry ski touring whenever he's not at Big White. 🎿❄️

🤩The Valeo team is once again growing and we’d like to introduce Jordan Ruder!!

Jordan is thrilled to be joining the VALEO HEALTH Team! 👋

Jordan is a Physical Therapist who has enjoyed practising in the
musculoskeletal/outpatient field for over 15 years.

🎓Jordan graduated with his degree in Physical Therapy with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008.

For the first seven years of his career, Jordan worked in Saskatchewan within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation facility alongside physicians, psychologists, kinesiologists and orthopaedic surgeons treating patients with a variety of sports, work and motor vehicle accident related injuries.

☀️Jordan made the move West to the sun-kissed Okanagan in 2016 where he has continued his work in private practice.

Jordan has always demonstrated a strong commitment to professional post-graduate education, clinical development and evidence based practice. In 2014, Jordan completed the highest level of post-graduate training in manual therapy. Holding this Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Physical Therapy through the Canadian Orthopaedic Division has earned Jordan status as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapists (FCAMPT). 💪🏼Furthermore, Jordan is credentialed to treat neuropathic conditions using Gunn Dry Needling Intramuscular Stimulation (CGIMS), earning this certification through the University of British Columbia. Jordan has been a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association for
the past 15 years‼️

Jordan’s treatment approach utilizes manual therapy in the form of
mobilization or manipulation of the spine and peripheral joints to maximize joint biomechanics, Intramuscular Stimulation Needling (IMS) when appropriate, a significant emphasis on strength training as well as
individualized education to assist patients in achieving their athletic or
functional goals. 🤸‍♀️

When away from the clinic, Jordan enjoys playing golf, volleyball, pickle ball and hockey, travelling the world with his young family and of course jamming a tune or two on one of his favourite guitars. 🏌️‍♂️🏐🥅✈️🎸
