Thermotex Infrared Therapy Systems are a patented range of deep tissue infrared heat pads designed to relieve pain, promote healing and accelerate rehabilitation.
Unlike conventional hot packs or heat pads that simply heat the surface of the skin by conduction, Thermotex™ safely delivers FAR infrared thermal energy beneath the surface of the skin.
Patients are comfortable during therapy since there is no overheating of the skin during treatment.
Since there is no dehydration factor during treatment and there is a comforting application of heat, the Thermotex Therapy System can be applied for long periods of time, which optimizes the treatment.
There are no adverse side effects during treatment such as burning or skin irritation.
This deep therapeutic heat provided by the Thermotex Therapy System is relaxing to the patient and provides a comforting powerful psychological effect to the animal. Just watching the animals during and after treatment assures us that it must feel good to the animal.
Thermotex™ re-invents infrared by producing FAR infrared light, replacing conventional infrared lamps which emit light from different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum and must therefore be used with caution. in equine studies, the unique subcutaneous heat delivery mechanism of Thermotex™ has been shown to raise temperatures at depths of 6 cm (2.36 inches) beneath the surface of the skin after just 20 minutes of use.
Thermotex™ deep tissue infrared heat therapy delivers prolonged heat where it is most needed. This effectively increases blood flow into the targeted area to deliver nutrients and oxygen and keeps tissues healthy while elimination waste and reducing inflammation.
