Salina graduated from the 2 year registered massage therapy program from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy with performance awards in her practical components.

Salina believes that health should be looked at to be treated as a whole using assessment, varied modalities in treatment, assigning homecare routines, and referring out within different scopes of practise (chiropractors, acupuncture, physiotherapy etc.).

During treatment she likes to focus on myofascial work, NMT techniques, passive stretching, range of motion, and joint mobilizations. Her goal is to choose the best treatment option for the patient at hand using information gathered from a thorough health history, assessment, and checking in with the patient about their personal comfort and pain levels.

During her intensive schooling and clinical components, Salina has learned to treat a variety of conditions including but not limited to post surgical/injury rehabilitation, headaches/migraines, edema due to removal of lymph nodes (ex. mastectomies with lymph node removal), and injury prevention maintenance. She also takes a special interest in treating patients with chronic pain and cancer.

In her spare time she enjoys taking in the scenery of the beautiful Okanagan by taking walks by the beach and drives around the surrounding area to discover new and exciting things to do around Kelowna.

We are excited to welcome Chelsea to the Alliance Therapeutics team!

Now accepting new patients!

Chelsea graduated from a Massage Therapy Program at Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy. Her style of treatment involves the use of a variety of assessment tools to find the root cause of the dysfunction. She then uses that knowledge to develop a course of treatment that is always patient centered.

Chelsea’s passion for preventative and rehabilitative therapy began by healing her own sport-related injuries. Her own drive to recover from sport-related injuries, combined with her education gives her a unique perspective treating:

Sports injuries
Surgical rehab
Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) dysfunction
Carpal tunnel
Tendonitis
Peripheral nerve pathologies

Chelsea uses a variety of techniques including sports massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, therapeutic exercises, and self-care exercises to treat her patients. Self-care and therapeutic exercises are a very important part of her treatments as it increases the longevity of the results in the treatment room and can increase the length of time between appointments.

In her spare time you will see Chelsea playing volleyball, eating a lot of healthy food, and taking adventures around B.C. with her dog

It is with much regret that following the recommendations made by the College of Massage Therapists BC (CMTBC) and the advice issued by the Ministry of Health regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to temporarily close the clinic, effective immediately, until March 31st. We will re-evaluate the situation again towards the end of March to determine whether it is safe to re-open at that time. As the situation is evolving on a daily basis, it is impossible to guarantee a date of re-opening at this stage, but we hope to return as soon as possible.
