After more than 31 years as an owner of Lakeside, Greg Andreen will be retiring on September 30th. Greg started with Lakeside in July of 1990 and has been a pharmacist, owner and manager. Known for his compassion and calm demeanor, Greg has always treated his patients and staff like family. Pharmacy has long been associated with the Andreens, as his father, mother and one of his sisters all choosing this rewarding profession.
Shortly after joining Lakeside as a staff pharmacist, the original owners: Ron Waller and Fred Behrner, made Greg a partner and moved the store from its original location on Abbott Street to the present location in the Guisachan Village Mall. When Ron and Fred retired, Chris Waller joined as an owner and the most recently, Graham Foster. Greg’s vision has supported Lakeside becoming what it is today; a company supporting the needs of patients who require specialized care.
‘Taking the time to care’ is Lakeside’s motto and Greg has given a great deal of himself to Lakeside to support this vision. Greg has been at the heart of Lakeside for many years and is beloved by his staff.
We wish Greg and his wife Barb all the best in a very well-deserved retirement. Congratulations Greg, you will be missed!
Greg’s last day will be Thursday, September 30th. Feel free to drop by and say hi. If you miss him there, you can probably find him on the golf course!
