Our journey isn’t linear.
We ebb and flow, with each season of life.
Sometimes life is overwhelming and chaotic. Whether it’s big moves, promotions, babies, or just moments that require our full attention.
It’s not “all or nothing”…. It’s shifting from crushing PB’s to making the most of what you can do.
Getting your daily steps, choosing nutritious foods over empty calories, sleeping well and not beating yourself up.
Because knowing that the seasons will change, as they always do; and you WILL come back to YOU.
Doing what you can, when you can, with what you have. That’s still part of the journey.
Acknowledging this also means you never have to “stop and restart”. You’re never OFF TRACK.. you’re simply on a different track.
The journey isn’t always about just the workouts, it’s about taking care of yourself- through all of your seasons. 💙

Everyone wants to “lean out” but looks at me like I’m crazy when I say that lifting heavy and eating will do that. 🤪
Gone are the days of doing hours of cardio and starving yourself. In fact: the science literally proves that it does not work. 🙅♀️
⚡️ Lift weights, and aim to increase them regularly! PB’s (personal bests) are not only fun, but necessary too!
🥑 Choose nutrient dense foods, protein goals should be met first, but still making sure you’re eating an appropriate amount of carbs & fats. Balanced diets > low calorie or diet trends.
💤 Quality sleep is the cheapest and easiest way to make sure you’re feeling amazing. Put your devices in DND, because yes, it can wait- and sleep is priority.
☀️ In the summer months, swapping the treadmill walks and runs to outdoors can not only boost your mood, but add some variety. Hiking, biking, beach walks, surfing, swimming are all great options!
Staying accountable is the real MVP. Both to yourself and your coach, partner, bestie… when you have that extra accountability it’s harder to make the excuses that will keep you stuck.

5 Tips For Your Post Baby Body 🤰
💓 Be Gentle with yourself. There is no need to place unrealistic expectations on yourself, this will leave you feeling defeated for no good reason.
💓 Start With walking everyday. It’s healthy for both mama and baby to get outside. Fresh air, steps and nature = fun for everyone.
💓 Do Not cut your calories too soon. Remember your body is getting back to itself, and you may or may not be breast feeding your mini. So make healthy nutrient dense choices.
💓 Prioritize Sleep, because hormone production and healing all happens at rest. And yes, I know this can be challenging but if you make it a priority it can help significantly.
💓 Skip The crazy Ab workouts and start slow with deadbugs and deep core work. These will likely be tough (for now) but building your core back up slowly and properly will make for a strong foundation for the future.

Whenever someone asks me where to start…
Start with walking everyday, add in some strength workouts, focus on creating the habits first.
Start with choosing unprocessed foods, cutting back on alcohol, and drinking water like your life depends on it.
It didn’t have to be complicated, it just had to be repeatable. Something is better than nothing here.

Stop chasing results and learn to love the process.
When we fixate on the outcome we can’t see all the little wins along the way. Meaning we’ll miss the entire process, and honestly it makes the journey much less enjoyable.
Every workout, every healthy and delicious meal, every moment you feel stronger (mentally and physically) that’s all part of it.

Taking a typical fitness challenge to the next level...
Back in 2015 when Certified Master Trainer- Monique Kabel decided to launch her first transformation challenge it was pretty standard. Dubbed the bikini freak challenge, the winner of a 12 week transformation challenge won a prize pack provided by fitness industry companies such as; PharmaFreak, FitMark Bag, Muscle Rich Apparel and PROMixx.
As time went on, like most things in life, the challenge slowly began to evolve. It soon became the Bikini Bliss Challenge with the mission statement always being to help women become empowered to love their bodies. The grand prizes began to morph as well, shifting from being strictly fitness related products to a custom designed bikini, because oddly enough, you would be surprised how many women have never owned or put on a bikini. So in 2017, Monique partnered with Sarah Marie Bikini, an up and coming bikini designer from Grand Prairie, Alberta.
Fast forward to spring 2018. The Bikini Bliss Challenge is yet again taken to another level when Master Trainer- Monique, partners with Ashlee Krutzfeldt (better known as AJK Photography) and joins forces with Nicci Lee for the Destination- Hawaii 2019 Challenge!
The transformation that the challenge has taken alone is proof that when we work hard on something (whether it be our bodies or goals) positive things can (and will) happen.
We work really hard everyday to make sure that the ones we love are taken care of that the things we touch in our day to day are done well and with love. But we, as women so often forget that we also need to take the time for ourselves, to love our bodies and train our minds to see the best in ourselves.
This challenge was created with a singular mission- to empower women to love themselves. And while the challenge continues to grow the mission remains steadfast.
We are now pleased to offer all challengers the chance to come with us on our #girlstrips (which the winner receives for free) to shoot with a professional photographer + adventures with likeminded women in tropical oasis’ :) What could be better than that?!
