Lying on stomach ➡️ 4 point ➡️ half kneel ➡️ standing ➡️ stepping over ➡️ back down to stomach ➡️ rolling onto back ➡️ sit-up ➡️ back to stomach to army crawl under 🔁 REPEAT

Sayde had an intensive over spring break as well! Everyday is better when she’s in the clinic and it was fun to watch her push herself, even when her mom is one of her therapists 😉

Posture powered by NISE stim! ⚡️This clip shows improved postural control with spinal stimulation. Compare her usual slouched position to her alignment when stim is used, supporting posture from the inside out. Small signals lead to big postural changes!

Introducing Ava! One if our Therapy Assistants! Currently her favorite song is anything by Noah Kahan, but it changes often. She received a Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University and has a passion for working with kids. She’s competitive & goofy and loves getting out of her comfort zone and trying new things. Fun fact: she is 6 feet tall! We like to say that she was hired to reach all the things the rest of us shorties can’t 😉

Outside of the clinic, she’s often behind the camera 🎥 She’s a photographer/videographer on the side and helps run our instagram, creating many of the fun videos you see on our page! 🎬

In her free time you’ll find her playing basketball or hiking and spending time outdoors. 🏀⛹🏽‍♀️⛰️ She loves to travel! 🗺️ She’s also a big foodie and is always on the lookout for new places to try. Got any restaurant recommendations for her? Comment them below! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

L had his second intensive with us and was so brave as he pushed himself! He tried a lot of new things and we look forward to any time we get to spend working with him!

Our staff spotlight today is one of our physio assistants, Tena! One of her favorite songs is Stolen Dance by Milky Chance 🎶🎤

Tena completed her Bachelor of Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia Okanagan in 2024. As a lifelong athlete – soccer, snowboarding, mountain biking, and more – she is passionate about incorporating play into movement and exercise for her clients.

She is a registered member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).

Outside of the clinic, Tena spends her time adventuring outdoors with her partner Mack—or relaxing at home with her sleepy dog Maya, who is much more interested in couch naps than long walks!

We love Tena and really appreciate all the hard work she puts into SMILE and all of our kiddos!
