With Valentine’s Day around the corner, our residents gathered to handcraft a beautiful heart display for our Tree of Love. We decided to keep our Christmas tree up to continue celebrating joy, creativity, and togetherness all year long. 💕

The tree is now filled with meaningful creations that reflect connection, community, and the love we share every day. ❤️

Around the World, One Month at a Time! ✨🌍

This month, we packed our bags (and our plates!) and traveled to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 without ever leaving home. Our residents enjoyed a five-star Scottish cuisine experience, celebrating the rich flavours, culture, music, and travel traditions of this beautiful country.

From delicious dishes to proud pops of tartan scarves, accessories, and smiles all around, our residents truly embraced the spirit of Scotland. 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We can’t wait to see where our next destination takes us! ✈️👨‍🍳

The pipes were calling, the haggis was proudly served, and the whisky drams flowed as we toasted Robbie Burns in true Scottish style at Valleywood. With the sound of the bagpipes filling the air, warm laughter, and great company, it was a celebration of poetry, heritage, and tradition. Slàinte to everyone who joined us! 🥃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Our amazing Activities Coordinator Trisha took a crew of our Super Trooper residents out to Prospera Place to cheer on the Kelowna Rockets as they faced off against the Prince George Cougars 🏒🙌

The game was exciting, but the real showstopper? TRISHA! 🤩 She landed on the Jumbotron, nailed the trivia questions, and walked away with a City Donair gift certificate. Talk about a superstar moment. 👏🌯

Of course, she was proudly rocking our custom-designed, bright blue Valleywood Super Trooper t-shirt… and wore it like a champ. 💙

A fantastic outing, lots of laughs, and memories made all around. Way to go, Super Troopers! ⭐️

Because great food makes the world go round!

At Valleywood, our incredible chef and talented culinary team are doing amazing things in the kitchen. We may be a little biased, but we’re big fans 😉 and we’re proud to show off their work. From beautifully prepared meals to flavours our residents rave about, every dish is made with care, creativity, and heart.

Dinner time here is more than just a meal. It’s community time. Our residents gather, connect with friends, and enjoy great food together, and that shared experience is a big part of what makes Valleywood feel like home.

We’re lucky. Our residents are lucky. And yes… we’re going to keep posting the food pics. 😄

“We looked at three Regencies in Kelowna, as those were the retirement homes that we were mostly attracted to for my parents. This is a huge transition from living in their own home. All were great, but Valleywood just stood out a little more. The views are amazing. The staff so friendly! The place itself is like a resort, being brand new. Linda was fun, caring, and listened to everything we had concerns about, as well as our likes! She bent over backwards to accommodate all our needs. She does an amazing job of her job!!! I would also like to give a shout-out to Scott, the bus driver that we had the pleasure of meeting on our way in! His greeting was warm and welcoming, and he’s funny! This place is beautiful.”

🍷✨ A Night to Remember at Valleywood ✨🍷

Our recent holiday dinner was one for the books! Incredible food, wonderful company, and plenty of laughs filled the room. Adding an extra special touch, residents enjoyed both white and red wine made by our very own Activities Coordinator, Trisha — affectionately known as “Trisha’s Hooch.” 🍷

Moments like these are what make life at Valleywood so special: great food, great people, our very own homemade Valleywood wine, and a community that knows how to celebrate together. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening so memorable! ❤️
