✨ What is Reciprocal Inhibition?
It’s your body’s built-in system that allows movement. When one muscle contracts, the opposing muscle is signaled to relax. For example, when you bend your elbow, your biceps contract while your triceps are told to release.
Why does it matter for tight muscles?
If a muscle is constantly “on guard” and tight, its opposite muscle may struggle to activate properly. This imbalance can create tension, restricted mobility, and even pain.
👉 Massage therapy, stretching, and mindful movement help restore this balance—teaching the tight muscle to let go so its partner can do its job.
✨ Balanced muscles = better movement, less tension, and more freedom in your body.
