Terrible Technique Tuesday 🩸 Episode 2.
Episode 1 sparked some serious conversation. Let’s keep it going.

Today’s case: a Key Opinion Leaser dermatologist in the south eastern USA. Here’s what we’re looking at:
❌ Zero points of contact in temples
❌ Direct needle pressure on bone — no stabilization
❌ Needle tracking toward the NL fold and infraorbital foramen no aspiration (if you watch the whole video)
❌ Cutting needle advanced through tissue without withdrawing

I’ve intentionally left this unidentified — the goal isn’t to shame anyone, it’s to give injectors a framework for critically appraising what they see online and in their own practice.

👀 Look carefully! Before and after an amazing way to showcase results and give patient an opportunity to see what excellent treatments can look like.

However. Look closely to ensure before and afters are fair. Look at angles, lighting, camera distance and have a critical look to see what might be different between the photos other than the results. Ensure what you see is real and unedited!

I’ve seen far too many jawline pictures where the before has a patient scrunching their neck and the after showing and extended neck and the jawline tissue stretched out. Or lips where the angles are totally different.
