Nectar naturopathic clinic serves Kelowna with a focus in digestion, women's health & weight loss

Nectar Naturopathic Clinic has been serving the central Okanagan since 2022. We have four experienced naturopathic doctors with diverse clinical interests ranging from digestive and hormonal health to paediatrics and naturopathic oncology. We currently offer naturopathic consultations, IV therapy, nutrient injections, cosmetic injections, and acupuncture.

🌿 Fee Update – Effective November 1, 2025 🌿

We wanted to let our patients know that as of November 1, 2025, our visit fees will be increasing. This decision was not made lightly. Our pricing has remained stable for the past four years, but due to rising operating costs and ongoing inflation, a small adjustment has become necessary to continue providing the high-quality, patient-centered care you expect from us.

✨ New Fees (effective Nov 1, 2025):
• Initial Consultation (60 min) — $295
• Short Visit (10–15 min) — $90
• Return Visit (20–30 min) — $140
• Extended Return Visit (35–45 min) — $210

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) has had a tumultuous past where it was largely in use in the 90’s and earlier, lost favour in the early 2000’s with the release of findings from the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) study. These days, it’s seen as the gold standard treatment for menopausal vasomotor symptoms and has many additional benefits. Why all the change?! Did you know that Nectar Naturopathic has been offering iron infusions to our patients with iron deficiency for about 2 years? The most common reasons for these infusions include intolerance to oral iron supplements, failure of iron supplements to improve levels, and poor compliance with oral supplementation.

January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.

Risk factors for the development of dementia include:
• increasing age
• family history
• a previous head injury

Did you know that Alzheimer’s disease affects more women than men? Estrogen is thought to protect the brain during a woman’s life and this protection is lost during menopause. There is some evidence that estrogen replacement during menopause helps protect against Alzheimer’s disease. For those who want to explore estrogen’s protective effects, it’s best to start this therapy in late peri-menopause or early menopause while the estrogen receptors are still active.

Hard to believe that it has been ONE YEAR since we opened our doors in our new space!

This year has seen incredible growth for Nectar. We started out with two naturopathic physicians who came from our previous location - shout out to .nd and .shannonmcguire - along with our amazing receptionist Monica. This year our family has now grown to include an additional two incredible NDs - .nd and and we have a new smiling face up front, Rachael!

Coming up soon, you will be seeing another face in the clinic, our new Registered Nurse, Leah, who will be doing many of our IV therapies and injectables.

Thank you so much to all of our docs who have worked their butts off providing exceptional care to our community and of course, to our patients. Your dedication, referrals, and trust have allowed us to reach this milestone and we appreciate you!
