TWP Prenatal Fitness Mamas2B Did you know that exercising regularly throughout your pregnancy can help you stay healthy and feel your best?

Taught by a Personal Trainer with Pre and Postnatal Fitness designation, the TWP Mamas 2B program is designed to boost your energy while building strength. Whether this is the beginning of your fitness journey or you have years of experience, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada encourages women with uncomplicated pregnancies in any trimester to participate in an exercise routine. Why is exercising during pregnancy important?

• Less weight gain
• May ease labour and delivery
• Lowers your risk for gestational diabetes
• Improves sleep
• Eases pelvic and back pain
• Builds muscle tone, strength and endurance
• Reduces/prevents incontinence
• Relieves stress
• Boosts energy and improves mood
• Speeds up post partum recovery

Dawn Thalheimer, CFES PT, PPFS

As a mother of five, Dawn regularly confronts the crazy reality of trying to juggle health and fitness with the demands of home and family. Knowing the struggle and pitfalls faced by any busy mom has inspired her to help others find their personal balance and live a healthy, happy life. Dawn is excited to have completed her Pre and Postpartum Fitness Specialist certification and focus on empowering women to stay active while pregnant.

This Fall I am excited to team up with Mamas for Mamas + TWP Fitness to bring you a special evening celebrating pregnancy, motherhood and yoga!

Join us on Tuesday, November 19, from 6 pm - 7:30 pm at TWP (The Women's Place), (109-1851 Kirschner Rd, Kelowna) for MOGA® Prenatal Yoga.

All trimesters welcome and those new to yoga. Mats and props provided, just wear comfy clothes to move in and layers for cool down.

This class is all about celebrating motherhood, so please bring a non-perishable food item and/or sleeves of diapers to donate to Mamas for Mamas as your entry fee.
These are the items that are in high need right now:
- Diapers: Size 4, 5, 6 and Pull-Ups
- Canned protein like tuna
- New socks and underwear for moms
- Pregnancy tests

* The first 10 moms to arrive will get a FREE yoga mat sponsored by Halfmoon Yoga Products!

* The first 20 moms to arrive will get a Saje Wellness Eye Shade for Savasana (and napping at home!)
