The newly renovated senior’s residence, in the heart of one of Kelowna’s most sought after neighbourhoods – the Lower Mission Pandosy area – is unique in both its size and lifestyle. Open and inviting space supports a friendly, connected atmosphere. With only 76 units, residents have the opportunity to get to know each other, while large private suites provide ample personal space. Lakeshore Place offers delicious and nutritious meals, in house activities and entertainment, weekly housekeeping, a bus to take you where you want to go and 24-hour security. Here are some photos from the Victoria Day high tea that we held here at Lakeshore Place. The kitchen prepared a feast fit for royalty, featuring brie and ham frittatas, sausage rolls, smoked salmon and cucumber sandwiches, fresh scones, handmade cherry chocolates, and chocolate-covered strawberries. Over hot tea and classical piano music, we enjoyed good conversation and treats in honor of Queen Victoria.

Our first Patio Happy Hour of the year! We sat in the sun drinking wine and enjoying the band The Strolling Bones. It couldn’t have been a better day at Lakeshore Place.

Here are some photos from our Mexican Buffet night in honor of Cinco de Mayo! Our chef prepared a feast with all of the best Mexican fixings, including nachos with guacamole, salsa and sour cream, carne asada, empanadas, black bean salad and more! We also served fresh churros to complete the experience! Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Despite the rain, Our Mamas for Mamas Open House was a resounding success! We had the pleasure of raffling off over a dozen prizes generously provided by local businesses such as Byland’s, The Canadian Restaurant Supply, Lakehouse Home Store, Blue Ginger, Dario’s Landscaping, Save-on-Foods, and more! Additionally, we were thrilled to welcome Kelowna’s The Sister Act for an outstanding performance that had everyone dancing joyfully in the rain. 100% of all proceeds collected from this event were directly contributed to Mamas for Mamas, supporting their invaluable work within our community. Thank you to all who attended and contributed to an amazing event.

Last night, we indulged in a delightful Italian buffet dinner! Our talented chef, a true Italian food aficionado, treated us to mouthwatering Italian meatballs and chicken Alfredo lasagna, perfectly complemented by an array of antipasto, panzanella salad, and other delectable treats. And to top it all off, we savored the classic flavors of traditional tiramisu for dessert! Buonissimo! 🍝🥗🍮

The night was filled with lively jazz music, a fantastic photo booth, and we even treated ourselves to some authentic New Orleans-style Hurricanes! 🍹🎷🎉

Throughout February, our incredible knitting, crochet, and sewing group dedicated their time and skills to create cozy hats, mittens, and scarves for the Mamas for Mamas Karma Pantry. 🧣❤️

We're thrilled to share that this is just the beginning of our monthly projects! Each month, we collaborate on a new endeavor, and by the end of the month, we donate our creations to a deserving cause in our community.

For March, we have our needles ready to knit washcloths for students facing challenges in affording hygiene and household items at UBC and OK College. Let's come together and make a difference! 🌟

🎉✨ Our Mardi Gras celebration yesterday was a blast! 🎭 Our talented chef whipped up a delicious Louisianan-style feast, featuring mouthwatering gumbo and irresistible beignets! 😋 But wait, there's more fun to unveil – we played the 'Guess How Many Beads are in the Jar' game, and the winner is still a mystery! 🤔📿

We had an impromptu guest today at Lakeshore Place. At lunch time The White Sails, A Capella Chorus surprised us with a short Valentine’s Day performance in the dining room and it was fantastic! Luckily we were already decorated for the event.
