Who We Are:

In 2005, the paramedics of Kelvington Mobile Health Services were invited to provide casual medical coverage for nursing staff at the health centre in the Northern Village of Cumberland House. Our paramedics worked as team members with a registered nurse partner utilizing the Facility-Based Scope of Practice approved by Saskatchewan Health and the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics. Medical consultation was established with the physician on call in Nipawin with patients transported out via ground or air.

In 2012 an arrangement was made with the Yellow Quill First Nation to provide Post-operative wound care to clients of the community. To ensure patient safety, our paramedics were trained in advanced wound care management.

In 2014, TnT Diagnostics entered an agreement to provide services to the Athabasca Health Authority. In their roles, they provide prehospital care, aeromedical transports, and facility-based services in the Athabasca Health Facility and outlying nursing clinics. All of our P*P and ACP staff are CAMATA level 1 certified, and some have also completed the Community Paramedic Program.
