It's been awhile but we have re-opened the option to book an initial physiotherapy assessment on our online booking platform.

Since opening it we have seen a pretty major increase in online bookings! So what's the big deal?

It allows patients to book at their convenience and look at their schedule to find a time that works best without the hassle of trying to find the perfect spot over the phone!

Just to be clear, our amazing front desk team is available to help with those bookings in person or over the phone as always, we just wanted to give you another option!

We're very excited to have Oksana joining the team for the next few weeks as a Student Physiotherapist!! As a student, Oksana will be assessing and treating patients under the supervision of one of our own Registered Physiotherapists.

Here are a few fun facts

🎓 She is completing her last year of her Master’s of Physiotherapy at Queen’s University
🏋️‍♀️ She worked as a Certified Athletic Therapist for 3 years in Manitoba
🌏 She loves travelling. With the most recent travel being Australia and Europe
🐈 She has an adventurous cat named Kuna

We will be offering Physiotherapy services with Oksana from now until December 19th, 2025. As an added bonus, you can enjoy a 50% discount when you see one of our students.

It's a YES! We use a combination of assessment tools to understand patient concerns and often there is a hands-on component to Physiotherapy treatment.

We are so excited to announce that Zack Desjardins is our Fall 2025 recipient of The Carrie Smith Get Active Community Grant!

Zach is wise beyond his years and in his application he shared the heart warming reasons why he loves martial arts and why giving back by helping to instruct tykes classes at the dojo is important to him.

Zach's favourite sport is Karate and he is proud to belong to the team. He wrote that he gives back by "helping kids at the dojo to learn respect and discipline, to stay active both mentally and physically, and to build bonds with their instructors."

His favourite parts about being on the karate team is that it helps him to feel confident and proud of himself and that he gets to meet and make great friends! He himself has also learned respect and loves that it helps him to stay active and healthy and "not just sit at home" (which was one of my fav parts 😆). Zack wrote that karate makes him "feel like he belongs to a team" 🫶

We’re honoured to award Zack with this season's grant, and hope that he always remembers his love of being active, building friendships and feeling a part of something bigger than himself!

He's heading off to the World Championships in Niagara Falls later this month. I know I'm not alone in wishing him the absolute best 🙌

If you don't know: The Redcord System is an active assessment & treatment system to assess movement and motor control. The fun part is you get to "float" on bungees and ropes - as close to acrobatics as some may get!!

It's hard to believe that we're celebrating 29 years since Carrie opened Kemptville Physio's doors. Twenty-nine years later, we're still practicing the same values she started us off with!
