PUBLIC NOTICE: Temporary closure of KDH’s Main Entrance on December 3, 2025 – please use Dr. Gordon Crescent entrance

Please be advised that a large crane will be onsite at KDH on Wednesday, December 3, between 7am and 2pm. The crane is lifting the new chiller into place and removing the old unit.
Our Main Entrance will be temporarily closed due to positioning of the crane, and people are asked to use the entrance located off Dr. Gordon Crescent. Staff will direct people where to go.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month and KDH is highlighting how diabetes impacts the lives of millions of Canadians. When you live with diabetes, you’re never off the clock; it’s a continuous cycle that demands your time, attention, and energy. But if Canadians come together to raise awareness about the realities of this chronic condition, it can help improve the health and quality of life for the almost 12 million people affected by diabetes in Canada.
Did you know that 1 in 3 people in Canada are living with diabetes or prediabetes? KDH’s diabetes team provides diabetes education and support services. To join a program, call 613-258-6133 ext. 255.

KDH welcomed a second group of high school students for ‘Explore a Future in Healthcare’ yesterday! The free seminar provides an opportunity for youth to learn about exciting careers in the healthcare industry, including pivotal roles in maintenance, nursing, environmental services, pharmacy, dietary, physiotherapy, diagnostic imaging, and more. Our staff enjoyed meeting the students and talking to them about career options in their respective fields.
Thank you to the students who participated, and our staff for helping to inspire the next generation of healthcare workers!

KDH is joining the Toes-T-Tootsies sock drive in support of the House of Lazarus (HOL) Food Bank! Organizer Craig McCormick (pictured) is collecting new socks, gloves, mitts and toques for HOL’s holiday hampers. The campaign runs until Friday, December 20 and donations can be dropped off at the bin located in KDH’s main entrance area, across from the greeting desk. Thank you!
