KDH is pleased to announce the successful recruitment of 10 new Emergency Department (ED) physicians. KDH launched a recruitment campaign in the late fall of 2025 to grow its roster of ED physicians.
The group of new ED physicians bring years of experience and expertise to KDH’s Emergency Department, and they look forward to serving the community.

KDH is pleased to announce a new partnership with Vitality Physiotherapy and Wellness Centre Kemptville to offer OHIP covered physiotherapy services.
Vitality is currently accepting OHIP referrals from physicians, nurse practitioners and discharge planners, along with self-referrals; please note there is a limit to how many they can see on a monthly basis.

Who is eligible?
With a valid Ontario Health Card, you can receive government-funded physiotherapy if you are:
• 65 years or older
• 19 years or under
• any age after an overnight hospital stay or an outpatient/day surgery procedure (within the last 12 months) for a condition requiring physiotherapy
• a recipient of the Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program (any age, OHIP card not required)

Vitality is located at 3000 County Road 43, Unit C4 (next to Starbucks). OHIP covered physio services ensure that people can enjoy everyday activities and live independently!

KDH would like to express its appreciation to North Grenville's Municipal Council and MPP Steve Clark for welcoming KDH’s President and CEO, Frank Vassallo, and VP of Nursing/Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Executive, Katie Hogue, during the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) Conference.
They participated in a primary care delegation on January 20, where they had the opportunity - alongside North Grenville's Mayor & Council - to have important dialogue with the Hon. Sylvia Jones, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health. The focus of the delegation was to discuss the Kemptville Primary Care Hub proposal.
This innovative proposal aims to ensure that all residents in the North Grenville catchment area will have a primary care Nurse Practitioner or Physician in a team-based model of care, which will include expanded access to services.
The expression of interest – endorsed by the Ottawa West Four Rivers Ontario Health Team - was submitted to the Primary Care Action Team (PCAT), and KDH is expecting to receive news in the spring.
