Thank you to everyone involved in the Soiree in the Field event for supporting the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation!

Several of our Board Directors and Executive Director had the pleasure of attending the Soiree in the Field event earlier this week — a beautiful evening surrounded by lavender plants, delicious food and drink, fantastic entertainment, and amazing local vendors.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, the event raised $1,000 in support of the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation!

A heartfelt thank you to DRINKS in TOW, Honey Butter Boards, Lavender Mills Farm and Social Society Events for putting on such a wonderful event and for your dedication to funding local healthcare and helping make a real difference in our community.

Our Emergency Department (ED) staff participated in a mock Code Transfusion yesterday (July 9) and went through the new Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP) step by step to ensure they’re prepared for critical situations. Great work everyone!

PUBLIC NOTICE (July 3, 2025):
Please be advised that the mammography machine at KDH is experiencing technical issues. The service provider has been investigating and trialing different solutions, but has been unable to repair the machine.
Sourcing the necessary parts has proven to be challenging due to the age of the equipment. The mammography machine’s computer needs to be replaced to complete the diagnostics and attempt repair.
As a result, KDH is currently unable to offer mammography service for at least several more weeks (if the issue is repairable).
KDH understands the importance of mammography service and is actively investigating options, including reaching out to providers and hospitals in our region.
KDH has been cancelling mammography appointments and providing patients with the information to contact Wi******er District Memorial Hospital (WDMH), which has kindly agreed to accept referrals during this time. Furthermore, should you need a screen you can access the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) at WDMH.
You do not require a requisition from your physician but must be between the ages of 40-74 with no prior breast cancer. Please contact 613-774-2420 ext. 6260 for a OBSP booking if you have not had a mammogram in the last year.
Neighbouring hospitals have some screening capacity, but KDH recognizes the impact of not having this service available. KDH will provide an update when more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

KDH celebrated the grand opening of the Tallman Family CT Scanner Suite yesterday (June 25)! The event marked the culmination of extraordinary efforts – spanning several years – by KDH, the KDH Foundation and the hospital’s incredibly supportive community to improve access to quality care in North Grenville.

Thank you to Kemptville Brewing Co. for hosting a fundraising golf tournament today (June 23) in support of the hospital! They raised $3,680 for the KDH Foundation, which is going towards a Portable Vital Signs Monitor that improves workflow and efficiency in outpatient or triage areas. KDH is so grateful for its community partners!
