truly has an incredible and generous team! Staff from every hospital department donated toys, food and cash to the 2025 Miracle Marathon, a beautiful Christmas tradition in Kenora which collects donations for the Salvation Army to distribute to families who could use the help this holiday season.

Thank you to our LWDH elves for coordinating the donation drive and who took the time to make the special delivery to the Bannister Centre yesterday.

Thank you to the Salvation Army, 89.5 The Lake and Q104 for all they do to coordinate this impactful event and support so many during the holiday season. Thank you so much for all you do during the holidays and all throughout the year!

Thank you to our local Boston Pizza for generously donating lunch for our first ever Staff Wellness Fair! Pictured with lunch are Jennifer and Stephanie, two of the event organizers who worked hard to coordinate a fun and informative day for our team!

Happening until 5 PM, this event is meant to peak enthusiasm and curiosity and to help LWDH staff to be as informed as possible about their own health and their personal wellness needs (it's different for everyone!). The day has included a tonne of information and fun interactive booths (blood pressure testing, blood type testing, breathing tests, sleep health, creative writing, financial tips, mental health resources, healthy eating, sleep hygiene information, fire safety and so much more!)

Many thanks as well to our friends at MNP, Kenora Fire & Emergency Services and Therapeutic Paws of Canada City of Kenora Fire and Emergency Boston Pizza City of Kenora Fire and Emergency Services
