Effective today, Monday, March 23, 2026 LifeLabs has updated operating hours to:
• Morning appointment slots from 8 AM – 12 NOON
• Walk in services from 1 – 3 PM

As LifeLabs ramps back up and resumes regular community sampling, will continue to offer temporary urgent walk in blood collection services from 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, for a short transition period only. Community members are encouraged to begin returning to LifeLabs for all routine blood collection needs as their services stabilize. Lake of the Woods District Hospital continues to experience an extreme surge in patient volumes, which is placing significant pressure on our teams and available resources. The hospital is currently operating in a Code Surge, meaning we are over capacity due to exceptionally high numbers of patients requiring care.

To ensure safe, high‑quality care for everyone, temporary capacity measures are being implemented, including the creation of new, temporary patient care spaces and a limited ability to accept certain types of patient transfers. These decisions are made carefully and always with patient safety as the top priority.

The dedicated staff at LWDH are working tirelessly to care for those in need, and we thank our community for your patience, understanding, and continued support during this challenging time.
