Our Fall Feast last month brought laughter, stories, and the warmth of community to our home — a celebration of the season and the strength of our Elders.

Miigwetch to everyone who attended our feast including our Elders, our staff, visitors and family. We appreciate all we get to do together. 🥕🍂❤

The residents at Wiigwas Elder and Senior Care had a wonderful time this past Monday.
A big thank you to Moon In June Studio for coming in and doing pottery with our residents. 🎨
It was a relaxing and creative afternoon — everyone truly enjoyed the experience!

🧡 “Reconciliation is not an end goal—it is a journey we must walk together.”

Today on National Truth and Reconciliation Day, we pause with open hearts to honor the Survivors of residential schools, the children who never came home, and the generations forever impacted. Our hearts and thoughts are with the communities, families and loved ones of everyone impacted by the residential school system.

At Wiigwas Elder and Senior Care our elders, staff, and community stand together in reflection. We wear orange not just in solidarity—but in commitment to healing, truth, and action. We must all work together with open hearts and understanding towards each other towards a better future, not just today but everyday.

☀️ The past few weeks have been filled with creativity, music, and sunshine as we soak up the last bit of summer! From hand drum stick making to enjoying some amazing live entertainment, it's been a joyful way to close out the season.
