Job Title: Residential Rehabilitation Worker (Full-Time and Casual positions available)
• These positions are for supporting both Youth and Adults.
• For youth, a clear Child Abuse Registry Check will be required
• Both positions will require a clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Persons check
• Please have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
• Relative work experience will be considered an asset

Position Summary:
The Residential Rehabilitation Worker will work to full scope of practice by providing day to day personal care to the residents under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Resident Care.
Responsibilities include assisting with resident care, bathing, dressing, mobilizing, communication/documentation, assessment, light cleaning, meal preparation and cooking, and completion of other related duties as assigned.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Resident Care, the RRW provides care to residents in accordance with the individual care plan of the client and performs the following duties as required:
• Provide person centred care to the resident.
• Communicates with the Supervisor of Resident Care or LPN, as appropriate, any changes in the residents condition.
• Attends and participates in monthly meetings, multi-team meetings as required.
• Documents appropriately.
• Supports orientation of new staff .
• Helps to ensure a safe working environment.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• A valid drivers license and reliable transportation
• A graduate of a provincially recognized Continuing Care Assistant course with current NS provincial certification.
• Must have the ability to work well with others.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Good team player.
• Physically able to perform the assigned tasks.
• Resident-centeredness and passion for working with older people is an asset.
Job Details
• Salary: $24.17/hour
• 12 hour shifts (Day 7am-7pm, and Night 7pm-7am)
• Full Time 36-48 hours/week
• Casual Dress
