😛 The tongue is regularly referred to as an indicator for overall health. The size, shape, coating, and colour of your tongue can impart lots of useful information about your health.

👅 It could, for example, be an early indicator of a vitamin deficiency, an infection, or even oral cancer. That’s why part of a dental check-up generally includes your dental professional inspecting your tongue for cancerous warning signs.

✨June 30th marks a major milestone for me and my career — I have officially been registered as a Dental Hygienist for 20 YEARS ✨

✨ I have worked in many different capacities as an RDH over the years, including clinical practice, an orthodontic practice, education as a clinical instructor, but my favourite by far has been as an Independent Dental Hygienist.

✨ I am one of the lucky few who get to do what they truly love everyday. The best part of my job is not the actual part of cleaning teeth, it’s the amazing relationships I’ve built with my clients, some of which I am happy to call friends 💜

✨Thank you to all of you that have supported me over the past 20 years! I love you all!
