🎈🇨🇦 What an incredible Canada Day! 🇨🇦🎈

The Autism Unplugged Learning Centre had a fantastic time celebrating at the Georgina Village Museum at THE ROC.

We handed out hundreds of balloons amd balloon animals to happy kids and connected with so many wonderful families.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, learn more about our programs, and join in the fun. Community events like this are such a great reminder of how important it is to create spaces where every child belongs.

At Autism Unplugged Learning Centre, we are deeply committed to enhancing the lives and futures of children with autism. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, donations like Mike’s help sustain our Building Bridges Program, which lowers costs for families who are not currently receiving government funding.

Why do we focus on PRT and speech in ABA therapy?

At Autism Unplugged Learning Centre, we use evidence-based strategies like Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) to unlock real communication—not just scripted responses.

PRT targets “pivotal” areas of a child’s development like motivation, self-initiation, and responsiveness to cues, which then ripple out to improve language, play, and social skills. It’s child-led, naturalistic, and powerful.

When combined with speech and language strategies, we help children:
• Find their voice—however that looks for them
• Improve expressive and receptive communication
• Build confidence in real-world conversations

Because communication isn’t just a goal—it’s the bridge to connection, independence, and joy.
